An excellent location on the Way and found a warm welcome after a long day's walking. Room was well priced and served our purpose well, I.e. bed and breakfast. Staff were friendly. Excellent Thai restaurant close by.

We visited Winchcombe in the evening to go out for dinner. The White Hart Inn looked inviting so we ventured inside and asked for a table, where we were seated comfortably in the restaurant area to order our food. It was spotlessly clean with an olde worlde atmosphere. The staff were attentive and the food was well presented and very...

Was given a card voucher for a present and decided to use it at The White Hart. We had dinner on arrival and was well impressed with the food as was breakfast the following morning .The room was clean, the toilet tight but functional. Was just what we wanted to finish our journey.

We were staying in Winchcombe and the White Hart was a very easy walk from where we were so it was great to find the food, surroundings and wine/beer was really good. The staff were also very friendly. The food was a good standard if slightly pricey but as we were on holiday it didn't matter too much

Recently had champagne afternoon tea on a Friday afternoon. Pub has a really lovely country feel with open fires. Afternoon tea was nice have had better in terms of selection of sandwiches but nice non the less. Staff were all friendly - would go again for drinks and lunch :)

Lovely little b&b in a pretty village full of antique shops packed with interesting bits and bobs, some nice gift shops bakery, butcher. Quirky cosy place. Lovely atmosphere with the smell of a real fire on arrival. Great little car park at the back for guests. We had beautiful weather so we made the most of the outside sitting area enjoying...

The White Hart is strange because the pub and staff are very good. The food is excellent, however the rooms are less than desirable. The peeling wallpaper, cracked ceilings and walls, paintwork that looks like its 20 years old and no carpets on the landing. However, would I stay there again:-YES.

Hi Yvonne, thank you for your review. I was pleased to hear that you enjoyed your lunch. Since we started offering our full a la carte menu on Sunday, it has proven far more popular than the traditional set menu approach to Sunday lunch.

On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, Anthony, and this set the tone for the whole visit. Our room was large and although it overlooked the High St at night it was quiet. There's a good bar area and you can sit at the window seat and watch life go by. We especially enjoyed our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Eat, drink and flop in historic Winchcombe. To some it's a pub, others a hotel. Situated at the heart of the village of Winchcombe near Cheltenham, this ‘restaurant with rooms’ (there are 11) offers the very best of British food and an excellent wine list. Visit the wine shop and try the famous sausages in the Wine & Sausage eating rooms. A perfect place to visit or stay if you love walking or visiting Cheltenham races. Each of the 8 en-suite rooms are individually styled and some have feature beds. In the Wine & Sausage eating rooms located on the inns ground floor they are passionate about real food, the great and simple British dishes that we grew up with. Ingredients are carefully sourced and wherever possible use local and regional farmers, growers, fishermen, producers, brewers and even winemakers. Just a few metres away from the inn you will find the scenic Cotswold Way and Gloucestershire Way footpaths. The Inn is also very popular with cyclists and can help with routes around the area, especially via one or two other 'watering holes'. There's even a hosepipe for washing down muddy bikes. Winchcombe is an idyllic base for touring the Cotswolds and the White Hart is the perfect bolt hole close to the famous sporting and cultural festival town of Cheltenham. ... more   less
