We stayed at The Bear for a family gathering for an 80th Birthday, all staff were very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble! The staff made us feel really welcome with personal service such as a birthday card and small box of chocolates in the room which was clean and comfortable. The food was amazing in the restaurant...

It is a beautiful location on top of the hills with great views. The hotel is very comfortable with different areas to enjoy. The staff are just the best of anywhere I have been in the world, extremely helpful and caring. We had a private dining room for the birthday lunch which was on a Sunday, just perfect. The rooms...

We stayed here with friends as a NY package. We arrived on the 30th, had an excellent three course lunch. The race night was great fun (not that we won anything) and included a Buffet dinner. The following day we had an excellent breakfast, after which we walked part of the Cotswolds Way. Returning to the Hotel for a drink...

Booked the Christmas package with an additional night added on. First time staying here, and it won't be the last! From arrival to departure the service was excellent. The hotel is beautiful and individual, not clinical like some of the big chains. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient. The food in the restaurant was stunning, and the waiting staff...

We have just returned from a New Year's Eve weekend at this delightful hotel. We arrived on the 30th, where included in our package was lunch and buffet dinner together with a race night. Both meals were superb, and the racing fun. The following day our party visited Westenbirt Arboretum, where the 3.5 mile walk was very exhilarating! Back at...

My husband and I stayed here with our dog for a post Christmas break and we absolutely loved it! We arrived early and our room in the Country House was ready... and it was beautiful! Very well decorated, huge, comfortable bed, lovely and warm and very clean! We ate both nights in the pub and the food was delicious and...

Stayed for 2 nights and ate in the bar both evenings. Lovely room, quiet and really comfortable bed. Super breakfast with huge choice and local ingredients. Super location, just 5 mins from Stroud in the car.

This is a cute hotel at the Cotswolds. I would suggest to stay at the main building as there are other buildings. The rooms are very pleasant with nice touches. But the bathroom can be cold as there is no heating and the windows are old and cold might be coming from outside. There is no fridge in the room...

A real mixed batch; on arriving the receptionist made us feel like we were interrupting him, directing us through the labyrinth of the hotel with a wave of his hand in the general direction; and this is not a small country hotel; it is a huge rambling building. The room we were in was disappointingly modern for the age of...
