Lovely Hotel, food and spa but the abrupt and defensive receptionist was off putting and the noise from our toilet and next doors was unbearable (downstairs rooms). Every time we or the neighbours flushed the toilet it made an awfully loud grinding noise that would wake everybody up. Not the relaxing quiet night we had planned. I think there was...

I do not normally write reviews but our experience at the Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham was exceptional. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was outstanding. Despite arriving early we were greeted warmly and on enquiring if I could pay for an upgrade for my parents the receptionist offered this for free. She also...

My wife and I stayed here for one night as a late Xmas present. My wife had requested an upgrade on booking, but unfortunately it hadn't gone through on arrival. Ava on reception then saw to it that we received a complimentary upgrade instead. Great start! Our executive room was very spacious with a fantastic bathroom. We ate in the...

A modern day warm welcome as usual but then dragged back to the mid 80's. Poorly made, lukewarm coffee Semi-congealed 'club-sandwich' (really...a club sandwich in 2017!) in 'Mother's Pride-esque' white bread on a soggy paper doily! No concept of service...at all. Come on HdV, bring back Gerard and Robin!

What a lovely place to stay. Only stayed one night on business, but rest assured it will now become a regular overnight venue for me. Food was also fantastic and the staff were truly attentive and happy to help. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and extremely comfortable indeed. There is also a fully stocked mini bar...

Our dining group booked the Hotel du Vin for our black-tie Christmas dinner on 20 December, and they looked after us extremely well. The booking arrangements were handled very efficiently beforehand, and on the evening we were all very happy with the food and the ambience. Would definitely recommend for a party booking. Great value, too.

Stayed overnight with my wife to participate in a dinner then lunch as part of a birthday celebration. Our room was very small. No room for chairs, so there was a bench at the end of the bed instead. Bathroom was tiny. Bed was very comfy and shower was great. High quality toiletries. Very hot room, had to turn down...

We stayed at L'Hotel du Vin over the New Year period. The hotel revolves around its airy, interesting bar space and a restaurant that we used for breakfast (and it was excellent) but not for dinner - preferring to eat out. Our rooms were compact but sumptuous featuring all the bits and bobs you might possibly need - and one...

This is a typical example of hotels in this group. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed with comfortable beds and pleasant bathrooms. The rooms still have actual keys (you know, pieces of sculpted metal that are inserted into holes in the doors!) rather than the now almost ubiquitous electronic key cards. The problem is that rooms don't have numbers but...

Quaint hotel within walking distances of many good restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were small and sort of quirky, with a tub in the bedroom area. It was difficult to get the room temperature to feel warm. Nice bar area. Breakfast (which was included) was great. Lots of choices and very filling. Be careful if you have someone...
