Spent a long weekend in one of the cottages. Period décor, comfortable, not pretentious. Enjoyed excellent food, wide selection available, friendly service from all the staff - despite some challenging guests on the Saturday night!

We have just returned from a one night stay at the Swan. The whole experience was fabulous. From our arrival prior to lunch yesterday all of the staff were courteous and helpful. David and his female colleague on reception gave an impressive 'first impression' which continued until we checked out today. Gelu and his colleagues in the Brasserie also delivered...

A lovely hotel set in the stunning Cotswold village of Bibury. We had a cottage with two bathrooms, two televisions, kitchen (with fridge, microwave and coffee machine) and a huge bed. The cottage was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard. When we had dinner in the a la carte restaurant we asked for a bottle of pinot grgio...

Myself, my husband, sister & brother in law visited The Swan st Bibury yesterday. We ordered 4 bacon sandwiches 1 pot of cafetière coffee for 3 and one hot chocolate. The coffee was nice, the bacon sandwiches were plain common bacon butties; 2 pieces of plain brown bread with a maximum of 2 rashers in each sandwich, your very basic...

We've just completed a wonderful stay at The Swan in Bibury, which was a surprise gift for my husband's birthday and we couldn't be more delighted. We arrived early but we were showed to our room promptly, which was the Whooper Cottage and I couldn't be happier with the choice. The cottage is lovely, with a cosy, private garden &...

We decided to return to the Swan Hotel at Bibury for our 49th anniversary as we spent the first night of our honeymoon here before travelling on to Cornwall. The whole experience was wonderful starting with the room we were given, which overlooked the river and bridge just as our room did 49 years ago, to the meal at night which...

I had heard about the Swan at Bibury and when we drove through the little village, decided to visit for afternoon tea. I went to Reception and asked a receptionist if the hotel was dog-friendly. She replied yes and when I mentioned that we wanted afternoon tea, she indicated to a small room in front of her. It looked perfect...

Beautifully presented hotel and completely lives up to the AA 4 stars. We stayed in an excellent double (Rm9) for two nights celebrating my partners birthday. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff team, all being very welcoming and polite. A extra special touch was a hand written card and box of delicious chocolates to wish him happy birthday,...

I have dined at the Swan Hotel on several occasions after discovering the place for the first time in November 2015. Each time attending, me and my wife/family have received nothing short of amazing food and outstanding service. The location of the hotel itself is beautiful - this is also mirrored by the decor and feel of the hotel which...

Lots of Cotswold charm in here. A buzzing bar area in the early afternoon. Modern style and comfortable. Lots of great looking food being eaten at tables around us. We only sampled coffee and biscuits but would happily eat here. The gardens outside would be lovely in summer. We contented ourselves getting out of the cold and damp by sitting...
