Overall a nice meal in a lovely pub. All reasonably priced and presented I had the burger which was well presented and tasty For all of us (5) the desserts were a let down, as for £6 per head one would expect an outstanding bread and butter pudding, which it was not, a to be remembered panacotta, after two spoons...

Walked in as a party of 7 and they found us a table within minutes. Good range of food on the menu. Well cooked and plentiful even though we all had sandwich or soup rather than big meals. Would certainly recommend. Only used the bar/ restaurant so cannot comment on the rooms.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 9, a really pretty, clean and bright room. Plenty of space to hang your clothes and store your stuff. Great to have a DAB radio too. Nice big fast-boiling kettle and plenty of teabags and coffee. I don't remember seeing on the website...

After initially having to change tables having been squashed in next to a large family, the service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent although beware the starters are every generous, particularly the smoked prawns. The bavette steaks were perfect and we appreciated the gin menu!

The Ship is a wonderfully friendly, welcoming place. We stopped in for a late lunch on a day of visiting the antique shops of Rye and it was the perfect place to round off a good day. The food was excellent and very fairly priced. I had smoked prawns, served with an outstanding saphron aioli and my wife had a...

Stayed here with wife and dog on Sunday night. Small, quaint rooms, well furnished. Had Sunday dinner here (one roast beef, one mackerel salad); both very good, with a good choice of wine and beer. Breakfast was excellent, the sausage sandwich in particular, all cooked to order. Recommended.

A quirky place in the centre of Rye. We received a really warm welcome, although our room was a bit on the small side especially for £80 B&B. Arriving at 7ish, just in time for dinner, but the menu is a bit limited for a non-fish eater, so we decided to eat elsewhere. Came back for a sneekie night-cap and...

This is a shabby chic style pub and the food is very good. However the menu doesn't have a lot to choose from and so you are a bit limited, but what they did they did well. We would go back. The parking is awful around this area so you would have to park in a nearby car park and...

I'm not a 'reviewer' but we had such a good experience, and as a Publican, I think it's important for our industry to share positive experiences. Friday lunch with our baby, buggy and batpig (our dog) in tow, we were welcomed into the restaurant section and tucked ourselves away in a comfortable corner. We enjoyed house flatbread & dips, the...

A quaint, friendly place with excellent food. We had the moules, which were locally caught apparently, they were juicy and plump. As for the chocolate mousse mmmmm! This was the perfect place for a relaxing Sunday lunch. Pop in if you are in Rye.
