From the warm reception by the staff upon our arrival, until this morning's breakfast, every minute of our stay has been a pleasure. The hosts, Javed and Judith made us feel as though we were being welcomed into a family home, and our room (number 3) could not have felt more luxurious; a four-poster bed, roll top bath and thick,...

Arrived for our anniversary weekend to a cold unwelcoming hotel with free parking advertised that was 15 minutes away from Hotel ( we didn't park there) and then given a room with construction workers walking about outside the window whilst erecting scaffolding and shouting at one other. Asked Elliott ( the young boy on Reception) if we could have another...

On the basis of this hotel's outstanding description of itself, a five star rating from the AA and rave reviews from a number of previous guests, we booked a family room for one night at a bed and breakfast rate of £210. For whatever reason known only to him, the proprietor was not forthcoming regarding the offer of free private...

This was a return to my boyhood - more than half a century ago since I visited Rye. And both the town and White Vine House excelled, in so many ways. Our room, its character, equipment and position were splendid. Going back centuries, yet modernised tastefully and sensitively by owner Javed over the past decade, the White Vine House oozes...

We visited White Vine House by chance on Friday night. We were warmly welcomed, even though there were eight of us with no reservation! They kindly set up a beautiful wood panelled room with fire and chesterfield sofas. The service was incredible - this is a family run business and we were made to feel like family. There was a...

We spent 5 nights here and throughly enjoyed our visit. Javed and Judith were wonderful hosts. The house has an amazing history and we loved learning about its refurbishment. Perfect breakfast cooked to order (including excellent fried bread!!). Lovely comfortable rooms with little extras to make the stay very special (ground coffee and cafetière in the rooms, Earl Grey tea,...

They say that all the best things come in small packages and this is so true of this lovely hotel. I cannot praise the warmth and hospitality highly enough. The bedrooms are very comfortable and I loved the quirky features that come with an old building. But by far the best part of my stay was the friendliness of the...
