We held our annual fishing club dinner here for twenty of us and had a great evening. The Dorset has a really nice function room that was perfect for our event. We chose our dishes from the Dorset's set menu which had a good variety of dishes and was extremely reasonably priced. The salmon wrapped crab and quinoa starter was...

My partner and I wanted to visit a few pubs in Lewis without having toss a coin as to who would drive home and therefore not be able to drink! We had had a meal at The Dorset a few months ago and liked the whole ambience of the pub. Booking online was a doddle and so we checked in...

If you are looking for a friendly competitively priced pub that sells good pub fair and great beers, look no further. Throughly enjoyed the old ale and fish and chips. A great place to just chill out.

We stayed for one night so it was OK. It isn't somewhere were I would want to sty for longer. Firstly the good things were that the hotel is well located within Lewes, that our room was large and well furnished and that the staff were both friendly and very helpful. The bathroom was narrow and had nowhere to put...

We met some friends here to stay for a night to explore Lewes. It is very well situated at the bottom end of town close to restaurants , pubs and the various sites of interest. We had a very nice soup and sandwich lunch and were let into our rooms early, which was very helpful. The room was a bit...

The Dorset Inn / Arms is the headquarters of Cliffe Bonfire Society. Most days of the year this isn't all that significant and you can only tell by some of the pictures on the walls etc, but on some days it means the pub is very busy indeed. We went for lunch there on 6 November, which is the day...

We wanted a late lunch in Lewes but some pubs had stopped serving but no The Dorset Inn xxx my husband told me it was a basic menu but sometimes it is good to have simple choices which are of a high quality xxx I totally recommend the 'mezzo' for vegetarians and I had the pastrami bagel with pickles and...

After searching for accommodation in the Brighton/Lewis area on a very busy weekend we stumbled on the very last bed in town at the Dorset. We were lucky. The rooms are very tiny, but adequate with everything you need. The pub is Very quiet and just a short walk up the high street into town. (For those who haven't visited...

Can't put my finger on it but this is really a rather dull pub. It has no atmosphere. They offer food but the menu is not inspired. Decent pint to be fair. Plenty of better choices in Lewes. The Snowdrop just up the road is top choice.

We stayed for one night in room 1. The room was basic but clean, with a comfortable bed and good shower. I would say better than you would expect for the price. The hairdryer in our room wasn't working and when we asked, a spare was quickly located with a smile. The rooms are over the pub so could be...
