Stayed in a junior suite with balcony and views. This was exactly what we expected it to be. Accomodation was warm and comfortable with constantly changing views, depending on the weather. We could see the sea and the chuch from our room. Staff were friendly and helpful, with good knowledge of the attractions and tours. Restaurant was excellent as was...

We recently stayed 5 nights here and overall enjoyed our stay. The first night we were given room 7 which was very small and had not one drawer to put anything and only a very small corner cupboard with hanging space which was difficult to get to without knocking yourself on the mantlepiece. Also, a tiny shower room (no bath)....

Really great Georgian building full of character, room tastefully decorated, comfy bed, welcoming and helpful staff. Location is short walk from station on quiet side-street just off high street. We pitched up covered in mud from mountain biking all day, the staff were not put out in the slightest and made us feel welcome. Strongly recommended. Only minor gripe is...

I would specifically recommend this hotel to anyone from abroad who is looking for a traditional English hotel (design, style, and offering). As this was in August, we were...

We had the bridal suite which was perfect, huge bathroom great views across the downs and all this in a fantastic central location. We only live about 13 miles away but will definitely stay there again. Thanks for great...

Staff are excellent, really helpful from arrival , stayed last minute in the annex bit which is cheaper . Rooms are good , adequate for the price. Ate at the restaurant within the hotel , was bit soulless but as above , staff were great. Unfortunately the food wasn't great esp as overall meal bill, inc wine, was nearly £100....

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday lunch. Not busy at all, just another couple near by. Good food, service was ok but the younger girls serving paid little attention throughout and it was left to who I assume was the lead waiter to host the experience. They had forgotten us after the desserts, no plates where cleared, no offered...
