Okay it could do with a refurb. OK room was a bit small. Ok there was a crack in the basin. But for a budget hotel, slap bang on the seafront promenade, backing onto a main shopping area with lots of eateries, a stroll from the old town, with cheap nearby parking (remember to pay at the hotel it's half...

I stayed at the chatsworth hotel on the 18th march, I was extremely disappointed with my stay. Although the room was clean to a basic degree it was so outdated. Flaky walls in a terrible dark blue and orange! The bed was ok but the pillows were really uncomfortable. Felt that the price of the room did not justify the...

All the reviews saying it could do with a bit of a facelift are true. However, if you overlook the dark blue and orange decor, the actual room we had facing the sea was large and the beds comfortable and clean bed linen. The bathroom was functional - also needs upgrading but clean towels and running water is all you...

The rooms are a bit dated but nice and large. We got upgraded to sea view which was a plus although it was a bit noisy. The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. Only staying 1 night but bed was comfortable and room clean.

The location is over the road from the beach and within easy reach of the town centre. The hotel has seen better days and is looking a little tired but the room was clean and tidy. Sheets and towels were spotless. There was a TV, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Really for £59 per night what more can you expect?...

Got a sea view room, room was tidy and clean, floorboards typical of an old building. Reception guy efficient and friendly. Didn't eat there went to Weatherspoons. They have an indian restaurant on site, looked ok should have tried it. Would use it again, trouble is Hastings is a bit run down, there's a lovely pier with brand new decking...

Only booked a day before so had to do in a rush for a party I was working with but we were all pleased with the rooms, they are a bit basic and could do with a lick of paint just to brighten them up , and also why only two plug sockets, but other than that they were clean...

Stayed at this hotel for one night for New Year's Eve. Room was disgustingly dirty, bathroom rotten. (See photos). £92 including breakfast. What a rip off. Breakfast was pleasant but no choice other than the menu put in front off you, cold coffee, bland taste. No offer of sauces, jams, marmalade and for £8.50 each would rather of gone to...

This hotel is a classical sea-side hotel, with everything going for it. The location is stunning, with a mixture of both modern and old history. The staff is just so "down to earth" and they greet you every morning. There is nothing bad to say really...The rooms are simple, yet satisfying. Walking to the city centre took us about 10-15...
