My husband and I were lucky enough to book a last minute Friday night stay at The Old Rectory as they had received a cancellation. Tina was extremely helpful and informative while booking our stay. We can honestly say that this was the best b&b we have ever stayed in. The welcome was great, the room extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, fabulous bed linens and towels, tea, coffee etc provided. Every member of the team were superb. A special mention has to go to their amazing chef Rob. The food he provided was absolutely delicious including a breakfast to die for and an unexpected slice of Victoria sponge while we were having a drink in the gorgeous garden. I was going to be selfish and not tell everyone about this gem ( worried that it will always be fully booked!) but all the team deserve to be recognised. Looking forward to our next visit )if we can get a room!)

I spent a special birthday weekend with my family at The Old Rectory. We were lucky with the weather but also lucky to have chosen such a fabulous place for my birthday. Everything was perfect, Rob is an amazing chef, adored the breakfasts, rooms were delightful and Susie, Tina and all the team were friendly and helpful. I kindly had a gift of flowers from Ivy and Bud, I'd highly recommend a look at their website, beautiful little bunch of flowers and vase, I've shared with all my friends! All in all a truly fantastic week away, big thanks to the whole team and see you again sometime soon hopefully. Isobel and family xx

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, we only stayed 1 night but will be definitely returning. So many good things to say, we were met by Haylie who was amazing throughout our stay and couldn’t do enough for us, absolutely lovely lady. The room was great with everything we needed and luxurious with the most amazing view to the garden which was just beautiful, we sat out and had a drink and were surrounded by the most amazing flowers and shrubs. Tina and Susie are the most attentive hosts and have truly made this place just adorable 🥰 As for the breakfast, wow, what an amazing chef Rob is, the best breakfast we’ve had, everything home made; the granola and banana bread were out of this world!!! I cannot recommend this adorable guest house enough. Thank you Team xx Sally and Paul. X

We booked The Old Rectory for a 4 day break for my birthday treat. We were greeted by Tina who showed us through to their magnificent garden and brought us drinks and cake to enjoy while she took everyone’s bags to their rooms. All 3 rooms that we booked were beautifully decorated and very comfortable with excellent views over their gorgeous garden. The rooms all had tea & coffee making facilities with an added touch of real milk in a fridge on the landing. There were bottles of chilled water, homemade biscuits and sweets in each room. These little touches really made it feel like a home from home. There is an honesty bar in the lounge downstairs where you can chill out in the evenings which is such a lovely idea and really makes you realise that you’ve been welcomed into their home. The thing that really makes this place stand out is the breakfast. It’s a two course affair with lots of homemade choices. My favourites were the honey granola pot followed by smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Delicious. The Old Rectory is perfectly situated for a gentle stroll into Hastings old town to browse the lovely independent shops or down to the sea front for a game of crazy golf on the world championship course. We all enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay here again.
