Having just returned from our second stay at The Cloudesley, my girlfriend and I have once again been blown away by the wonderful food, decor and service this wonderful little hotel has to offer. We were greeted by the owner, Shahriar, a friendly and quite remarkable host. As we were shown to our room, Sharhriar explained at length and in... More

We stayed at the Cloudesley late November for an anniversary weekend. Situated in a residential road, we initially couldn't find it, only because it was dark when we arrived. Look out for the bamboo in the front garden, the owner is a bamboo expert. We were greeted by Shahriar (the owner) who came out into the road to meet us... More

My partner and I stayed at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast for two nights (24th - 25th). We chose the 'Hafez' room and would recommend it to everyone. Impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, the attention to detail was a clear representation of the owners passion for his work. The breakfast was of an unexpected level of quality and absolutely delicious!... More

Spotless rooms, great breakfast and wonderful host. The Cloudesley in 5 minute walk from the beach in a quiet residential street where it's easy to park on the street. We stayed for two nights, we were offered a drink on arrival and had a chat with the host about the local area. We walked to the old town in hastings... More

We stayed here for 2 nights for a delayed weekend away. It is in a nice and quiet residential area which made it quite difficult to find but that wasn't a problem. We just looked for the AA 5 star sign in the window. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and took us straight to our... More

A wonderfully decorated 'home from home'. After our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Shahriar, shown to our room and offered a drink in the lounge. Our host well versed in providing great local information with regards to places to eat and things to do. Breakfast time was easily arranged, with several options available. We stayed in the Khayam room,... More

On arrival, we were greeted by the owner who was a very polite and humble man. We were shown to our room, which was spacious and beautifully designed, then taken to one of the lounges for a complimentary drink. In the morning we were cooked a lovely full English breakfast and enjoyed the quality of all that was on offer.... More

My husband and I were looking to get away from London for a long weekend and we came across the Cloudesley. Stunning rooms, decorated to the highest standard with character throughout. The service was amazing - we had a wonderful welcome from a young girl who offered us a complimentary drink as soon as we arrived. This service continued throughout... More

Please note when people book they want a twin room they really do want a twin room. Also if you advertise free WiFi please provide it. Treatment cancelled when we pre booked. Insults at dinner. Shame has potential but falls short

Shahriar M, Owner at The Cloudesley, responded to this review

With reference to the treatment for your daughter I owe you an apology. There was a mix up with which guest had cancelled and this was my fault. With reference to the wifi code; if you had written it down incorrectly, all you had to do was ask again. The signal in this building can also be patchy and sometimes... More

The place is amazing; the rooms are beautifully styled and the hospitality is truly off the charts. The host is very kind and always went out of his way to accommodate us. He also cooked us breakfast every morning! His omelets are to die for and are a must, at least once during your stay. Will definitely stay again, and... More
