Well my Son (23yrs), Brother and I walked in, to be told we could ONLY book in at 3pm, after having travelled for just over 2hours from Poole, Dorset. We then asked where we park, to be advised that we would have to park much further up the road which is about a 10minute walk??? No hello, welcome, nothing! I... More

I recently stayed at the new cosmopolitan and yes it is a bit tired but come on if you're on a budget then the new cosmopolitan is what you want. The fabric of the building is victorian and yes it shows but the bedding is spotless and the rooms are kept clean. It would seem to be family run and... More

I had booked this b&b through booking to see great reviews and photos. The photos are not a reflection of the hotel! The only saving grace for this b&b was the staff. The guy on reception also served breakfast and was extremely polite and really friendly. What you should expect :- I paid less than £50 a night and that... More

Couldn't complain about much yes the place needs a tidy up but you pay for what you get, bed was comfy room was warm and noise levels low, despite being near a busy road. Staff were friendly and apologised for our wait to check in, i had missed the "ring doorbell for attention" sign so wasn't even there fault

You probably get what you pay for anywhere. We booked this at fairly short notice as we were going to the fireworks at Lewes and so there was not much availability. The place is pretty shabby although clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm and clean. The bathroom was tiny, also clean although the shower was quite... More

The hotel is very tired and needs a complete make over. It was very noisy when people were walking on the laminate floors and doors bagging. One night the people above me decided to have a shower at 12.30am and talking loudly. The restaurant was down in the basement very narrow and wooded steps, you had to hold onto the... More

The climb to the poky back room nearly gave one, a hart attack. The room was not cleaned properly, very poor beds, one was falling apart. The toilet and shower cubical were worn out and not fit for purpose ( lots of black mold) The shower water was cold at peak usage times. Tea/coffee facility was spares 2 tea bags,... More

Rooms were filthy. Bathrooms were awful. Loo seat broken, floor ripped and therefore dirty. Could not bring ourselves to use the shower. Bed was old and squeaky. Children's bed had a spring sticking out at the bottom. Their window was absolutely awful and the mess outside their window was a combination of pigeon mess and empty cigarette packets. People wandering... More

We arrived to be greeted by staff sitting outside smoking. When asked if we could leave our bags, they pointed to the main reception area - be aware, this is just the main reception seating, and not a locked or secure space to leave your bags. Check-in isn't till 3pm, so this isn't ideal. The room itself was very small.... More

Although the reception staff were very friendly, I have to say the rest of this hotel is far below any standards. The rooms were falling apart, stairways and corridors were extremely inconvenient for anyone walking through with bags. So many doors at every corner I had to help a poor mother trying to handle a child and 3 bags. No... More
