I was really pleased with my stay at the Hotel du Vin in Brighton. I'm a big fan of this chain and it was an obvious choice for my short holiday, after reading so many terrible reviews of other hotels in the area (the Old Ship, Queen's Hotel). A few weeks before we arrived I emailed the hotel to say...

My husband and I had our wedding at the Brighton Hotel du Vin over Easter weekend 2017 and I cannot recommend it highly enough! The service, food and drink was excellent. The venue is perfect for an event like this with various areas including the gallery, Dome Room, pub and courtyards for our sole use. The marriage ceremony and wedding...

After superb stay at Hotel du Vin in Henley we were rather disappointed with the Brighton hotel. Whilst the Afternoon Tea was excellent, & very filling, & the Junior Suite was quirky yet very comfortable, with a pedestal bath in the bedroom, breakfast was a major disaster - very limited buffet, tepid food & stewed coffee. We went out for...

We spend a beautiful week-end in Hotel du Vin last week with my boyfriend. The room was looking really nice, the bar was great. We ate once at the bistro unfortunately the service and the food were not as great as the rest of the hotel. The only point which was perfect is the reception, Cassandra helped us with all...

We came away just the 2 of us leaving the kids at home! The staff were lovely and welcoming and the room clean and comfortable. The bar is a great place to sit and have a drink before heading out (and a nightcap!) and the breakfast was delicious! Oh and the location is perfect.

We love eating at the Hotel Du Vin in Cambridge but this was first time we had stayed at the hotel. And the last. We were told this was a room with a sea view. Which it was if you stood on your tip toes and peered over the bed head the blocked most of the window. We had a...

Had a brilliant night away here. Quirky room which was clean and well maintained. Friendly check in. Difficult getting a table on a Saturday night though so book on check in rather than trying to be spontaneous!

I am reviewing the hotel du vin bar, esp the bar man Lorenzo who has consistently been great in the service he gives. we have visited a few times over the past weeks and keep on coming back. the ambience is great - typically hotel du vin style.lots of different types of seating upstairs ( with also a great terrace)...

Great hotel with really friendly vibe. All the staff were great. Room was really special. Bar area was buzzing and breakfast was 1st class this morning. A really good location also just a few metres from the sea front.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a pebbles' throw from the seafront. Its 49 bedrooms are housed in a collection of eccentric Gothic revival and mock Tudor buildings erected, appropriately by a wine merchant on the site of an old inn. Among many interesting features are a heavily carved staircase and bizarre gargoyles, while the original double-height hall now houses the wine bar and Laroche tasting room. The perfect venue for a picturesque wedding or party is the impressively large and airy Dome room. For the best tankered of local ale, Pub du Vin is one of Brighton city center's treasures with its classic pub dining. Out with the Brighton hotel is the wonder and inspiring town itself, with quaint streets dotted with fabulous shops, and of course the famous pier and promenade. ... more   less
