This Hotel du Vin is not up to the standard of other hotels in the group which we have stayed at, it was not worth what we paid and lacked the Hotel du Vin "experience". If you are driving there beware - the one way systems can catch you out. When booking we were told we could have a voucher...

Visited Hotel Du Vin for a nightcap. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere in there. Bar prices very reasonable and a really god place to go for a last drink at night in Brighton. Highly recommended.

We stayed on a whim on Saturday in this lovely hotel. Staff were wonderful both in reception and in the restaurant. On arrival the room we were given a room which didn't have a bath but a call to reception remedied this straight away. New room had a wonderful roll top bath. Dinner was excellent with great choice of wines....

It's a charming place. We booked an upgraded superior double and it was very good experience for a weekend break. Our room was in the "courtyard"and it very nice. En suite bath and shower with nice decour. The food was okay but not outstanding but that was probably because we had booked one of the reduced price hotel deals which...

We have stayed at the hotel for a few times before booking a superior room and decided this would be an ideal place to spend New Years. Room: not as our usual room (we think we've been upgraded previously) with quirky upstairs bathroom - which I loved. Husband wasn't overly impressed with size of bedroom but we were there and...

Perfect location, perfect room (good excercise walking up those stairs :) ), helpful staff and all in all a spot on hotel right in the heart of the lanes. We couldnt ask for anything more or wouldnt want to have changed anything.

3 night stay as part of post-New Year deal at great boutique style hotel in central Brighton. The Lanes, sea front, pier, BA Tower and interesting local spots such as Kemptown are a stones throw away. The room was suitably 'boutique' in decor - dark and small. Serious lack of lighting for reading etc. First ever hotel experience where the...

Very nice people in reception, good location for early evening in lanes - good walk, good bars and pubs. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant both the food and the people. Room was not 4 star standard, but I am sure many others are. Rather sad to be given ground floor room closest to the stair, courtyard and road when...

Thoroughly enjoyed our amazing weekend at Hotel Du Vin Brighton. Located very close to the seafront and the magic of The Lanes (lots of restaurants, shops and bars of every calibre) and a short walk to the Pavilion. Our check in was very friendly, welcoming and informative. The first impression was of a lovely period building that was immaculately clean,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a pebbles' throw from the seafront. Its 49 bedrooms are housed in a collection of eccentric Gothic revival and mock Tudor buildings erected, appropriately by a wine merchant on the site of an old inn. Among many interesting features are a heavily carved staircase and bizarre gargoyles, while the original double-height hall now houses the wine bar and Laroche tasting room. The perfect venue for a picturesque wedding or party is the impressively large and airy Dome room. For the best tankered of local ale, Pub du Vin is one of Brighton city center's treasures with its classic pub dining. Out with the Brighton hotel is the wonder and inspiring town itself, with quaint streets dotted with fabulous shops, and of course the famous pier and promenade. ... more   less
