Very basic but clean and tidy, everything in good working order. Paid extra for an en suite room which was worth it to avoid using the bathroom on another floor. Good location for Preston street nearby which has lovely restaurants and bars.

Well... here we go... i have never, ever, encountered such Customer Service! We use the The Granville Hotel quite regularly. Our next booking was for September, but there were absolutely no rooms available, due to a company function, but i could not change our visitation dates, due to appointments. I cheekily asked what other hotel/s might have rooms for the...

Friendly staff and great food at Smokey's below the hotel. For a budget hotel was excellent and would recommend. If I had one complaint we were on the 3rd floor so a lot of stairs but was ok for us. Comfy beds and clean room. Would definitely book again.

Was a bit apprehensive about staying at this hotel as someone else had booked it for a group booking, rooms were a lot better than anticipated. The downside to this hotel is the stairs, no lift. Public areas a bit tatty and need of a facelift, but the bedroom was clean, bed comfy, good pillows. Cost wise, very cheap for...

Only stayed for one night. Family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children). First impressions were the same as other reviews. We had to ring the bell and wait for the door to be opened, then we were taken through a series of rooms and doors before we finally arrived at the reception of the Granville next door. There are...

I recently stayed 2 nights at the Cecil with a friend we booked to be near the Brighton centre for an il divo concert. Upon arrival which was very strange we had to ring and wait for someone to open the door, then led through a dilapidated maze of doors and rooms to the reception area which is under renovation....

Went on a Hen weekend and after the reviews read on here I was very reluctant to stay at the hotel. Staying there totally changed my opinion. The hotel is getting slowly refurbished and rooms are looking very nice and most are en suite. The manager told us that advance bookings will always get en suite rooms. Last minute booking...
