Stayed in the Granville room, fabulous big bed, amazing views of West Pier! Fantasic shower with under floor heating. Breakfast amazing, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Glutenfree toast always available, as well as soy milk for our coffee and vegan spread for the toast. Service great both in reception and restaurant.

Booked via booking.com at 2am of the day we were going, as we fancied a one night away to Brighton. We got to the hotel at 11am, and although the room wasn't ready, the receptionist said he would store our bags until the room was ready around 2. When we returned he had Kindly upgraded our room to the large...

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and bar are nice and if you are lucky enough to have sunny weather then eating breakfast in the sun on the front terrace is a real bonus. The rooms (we stayed in Prinny's and The Pavilion) were clean but somewhat impersonal, even a few pictures/personal touches would have helped as the rooms...

I booked an in-suite room with a jaccuzzi to celebrate my wife's and I anniversary. We really hoped to spend a nice evening and to relax but it was finally the contrary: the jaccuzzi didn't work at all and neither the phone to call the reception. I had to go and ask the receptionnist to do something. He couldn't fix...

We stayed here this weekend. All the staff were amazing , helpful and friendly and it was very clean. I was between 3 and 4 for my rating as the bed was very small and rickety - we were in the Mr Kemp room , and the room was baking hot and we were unable to turn the heating off....

I can recommend this sea front located, refurbished regency hotel. We stayed for nostalgic reasons: I lived here in 1968-69 in my first year at Sussex Uni at a time when most of Brighton's B&Bs and hotels were rented out to students. Then it was a rundown, seedy place run with a draconian hand by Mr Bunce, now it's a...

Stayed here for two nights in March for a break away. Staff very friendly however room definitely in need of some TLC, room was to an ok level of cleanliness but the room definitely needs a facelift with wallpaper falling off and the adhesive around the bath significantly mouldy. Quite difficult to sleep as one the bay windows was broken...

Stayed at this hotel for a night. The man that checked us in and out was very friendly. Our room, the marina room had everything in it that you needed though the television was broken. To be fair we didn't mention to the reception, if we did I am confident that it would have been rectified. The location of the...

Very quirky! Loved it! Fantastic view of West Pier and the i360. Unlevel floor, squeaky floorboards, black wall paper, exposed bricks, old building in need of sound proofing but, very cosy, comfortable, nice and warm. This hotel certainly has character and I'd be happy to stay here again. Charming young man behind the desk.

The decor was a little bit tired but had character. The breakfast downstairs at Smokey's was excellent. The staff were wonderful. And to simply look out from the room and enjoy the sea view was perfect.
