Arrived very late - having been unable to find anywhere else on a busy Night. Offered a Single Room at a reasonable Rate on Request & chatted with the Receptionist for many Hours without being expected to go to Room. Overall it was a delightful experience.

Good points: High ceilings (old building) Close to the seaside (still around a 20 minute walk to the pier) The housekeepers seem to keep the room clean & tidy but the bad maintenance limits this! Reserved parking onsite for £10 (although minor issues - I should have taken his name on the phone) Bad points: Dated decor - I do...

We appreciate your choosing the Imperial and are glad you enjoyed your overall experience and, importantly, received value for money. Over the last few years we have spent heavily on the external aspects, replaced the boilers while upgrading the heating and electrical systems. The works are ongoing and of course we have plans for the front steps and to make...

Well I won't be staying here again. I just ran the Brighton marathon and it took an hour and a half to get back to the hotel from the race village so I didn't get back until 3.50pm and I checked out at 4.25pm. I already paid an inflated price of £205 for one night and then £30.00 for a...

To be sure, the Marathon is one of the highlights of the year with the Imperial relishing the opportunity it can play in this City wide event. Whilst the circumstances this guest describes are clearly unfortunate, one has to remember the hotel was also fully booked on Sunday night, for various reasons, so a further modest charge was proportionate given...

We have stayed here before. This time we had a beautiful, big room with a fancy bed and comfortable sofa and chairs. There was also a sea view. The staff are all helpful. The building is a number of houses joined together so is rather up and down. A little bit of faded glory but perfectly clean and functional. Breakfast...

We stayed in the Imperial while visiting family in Brighton. The staff were very friendly and the room, though a bit dated, was very clean and practical. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept well. The only thing that made us uneasy was that the window didn't lock, but we didn't realise that until just before we were...

Hotel is very well located, just a fes steps from the seafront. Friendly staff and easy to book. I found fittings were a bit tired, and cleanliness of communal area left a bit wanting. The area is silent, some other guest (saturday night) were less so. Did not try the breakfast.

We appreciate your visiting us from Italy and for your positive review and feedback. Naturally we were sorry that an inconsiderate guest disturbed your rest - our night manager would have dealt with the situation but inevitably 'after the event' The Imperial is well located and aims to deliver value for money so thank you for highlighting this

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Imperial Hotel in Brighton & Hove mixes tradition and function with a light, fresh airiness. Its ideal position – at the end of the broadest of avenues – with its uncluttered outlook by the sea, is situated alongside Hove Promenade and The Lawns. This functional, exceptionally good value hotel is of the Regency period; its high ceilings and spacious bar and lounge are noticeable, as is its still, calm ambiance. The Imperial provides an excellent level of customer service and its conference facilities, coupled with a smart bar and an attractive restaurant, make it an equally popular venue for a variety of functions. Ample Parking is available on the street and surrounding areas using our low cost residential permit scheme at just £6.00 per day. We also offer spaces on a 'first come first served basis' on our hard standing area at £15 per day. The Imperial Hotel is the perfect choice whether you are visiting for pleasure or business! ... more   less
