This is an update of an earlier review which I wrote while stayed here for 7 nights in May 2017. It's a pretty tired looking hotel. It looks like it all needs a good 'deep clean'. The windows in the front breakfast room which have a lovely view over the sea don't look to have been cleaned in several years,...

This hotel is in a great location on the sea front close to the i360 tower. The rooms were comfortable, clean and pleasant. All of the staff I came across were extremely friendly and helpful which was lovely. I would say that some communal areas could be smartened up. The breakfast was great too! Had a great overnight stay and...

Booked for two nights for a wedding which was thankfully at another venue, room cost almost £400 which was a crazy price given the 80's decor, the badly worn carpet and almost useless shower. We expected more. Breakfast was £15.95 EACH, no jams - I did ask but was told there wasn't any, only to find some appear around 2...

This reasonably priced hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. Yea it's a bit old fashioned and a little bit tired but the bed is very comfortable the shower is great and the staff very helpful and friendly. The parking at the hotel was easy and a reasonable price. We would stay here again.

What you see is what you get at this hotel and as first impressions go, the bar wasn't set very high. The reception of the hotel is awful. The dusty broken chandeliers give little light to the dark dank room of shabby carpet, worn furniture, creeking old stairs and a very sombre looking reception desk. It was like I'd entered...

The hotel is really well placed. The entrance and reception are grand and impressive. Beyond there, however, the place is a bit of a rabbit warren and not easy to find your way around. I had a mews room. It was nice to have the patio doors onto the communal patio. However being a communal patio meant the door couldn't...

It was a lovely big entrance, staff were friendly and our room was okay. We didn't spend much time there because we were out exploring. Ordered room service at night, it was delicious food, however when it came to paying when we left they had charged us double for the room service. They did correct this mistake. Really good location...

Had an amazing stay at the mercure Brighton sea front. Got an amazing price from wowcher/buy a gift. My friend and I got there early and the receptionist put our room on priority so we got into our room within 40 minutes. Our room was amazing, we had a family room complete with bathrobes and slippers. All the staff were...

Agree with the other reviews that the hotel is tired and definitely not 4 star. Also agree about the expensive parking (£18) which is not on their website, there are no signs in the carpark itself and it's not mentioned at check in....we only found out when we tried to drop the keycard off for a quick check out and...
