This is a hotel that is in a great location but if you have paid £100+ for the rooms which we were faced with for a Saturday you would be disappointed. A Sunday night was much more reasonable. Check in was inflexible, 3 p.m. onwards when there then was a queue. No sea view and building work outside. Room though...

Stayed here over valentines weekend with my girlfriend, thank god we only spent minimal time in this dump. On arrival the greeting by reception was cold and unfriendly and we were simply handed a key and told what floor it was as the person on reception was talking to somebody else. The room was incredibly dated with stains on the...

The hotel is very tired both outside and in. It is in need of a lot of work. At some points not only is damp evident but paint is peeling off the walls and plaster is crumbling away and is not cleared away on a daily basis. The room was clean and comfortable, however, the pre ordered wine had to...

We stayed here after cycling the London to Brighton route for charity and I was absolutely appalled. Young lady on reception was nothing short of vile and very rude, insisting that we had already checked in, rolling her eyes and tutting at us it took more than half an hour just to check in. The secure storage for our bikes...

Where do I start.. Myself and my partner decided to treat ourselves to a weekend away to see friends. We saw a groupon for the royal albion - big mistake. The first hurdle was booking; the albion website for the dates we wanted was showing as available. As soon as purchased we called (10p per minute) the offer hadn't been...

I wanted a "posh" hotel on Brighton front and got a tatty building from outside the entrance right through the whole building.Hall ways lacked plaster in places and in one stairwell there was an area of no wall at all.!!!The room was a "Superior Room" costing £199 bed and breakfast.I'd hate to see standard rooms..The pattern on lampshade turned out...

I stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a conference. I had a room on the 4th floor, that looked out over the eastern promenade, sea front, and inland. I had perfect views of the pebbled beach, the Big Wheel, the start of the pier, and the Old Steine. I've stayed here once before, several years ago, so knew that...

From the con-trick played on guests by "central reservations" where you have to "hold" while they check availability blah, blah while you are being charged 10p a minute to their 0871 number, through to the further con of the telephonist discussing the different rooms with you in the full knowledge that they are based about 100 miles away and have...

Stayed here for 1 night in April 2014, I think the last time the room was decorated was about 50 years ago. Everything is old and tatty, not just the room the communal areas too. No safe. There was a contraption in the room that might have been referred to as a TV back in the 80's. There is no...
