Our stay at the famous Grand Hotel was very disappointing having had such high expectations. Having eaten in their GB1 restaurant which it claims is famous for its seafood was disappointing after eating oysters and then becoming very ill that night! Never a great night stay at a luxury hotel when the food causes you to be extremely unwell. I...

When we arrived the hotel was undergoing refurbishment (we had not been forewarned of this). Although it did not affect the interior the outside was hoarded and unsightly. The service provided by the hotel was faultless. Our room was well presented (bed was a little uncomfortable but it was just an overnight stay). Breakfast was a help yourself affair. (I...

Apart from the loud music at reception everything was fine. Also there was a loud noise of air-conditioning outside the bedroom. Otherwise everything was fine, if a bit impersonal. Nothing more to add to this review.

Ours was a short but very enjoyable stay at The Grand, the room was excellent and the staff were all great, very pleasant, cheerful and helpful etc, service with a smile and it all seemed genuine. Food was good. Probable the nicest place to stay at in Brighton. I would definitely return. Scaffolding was up which of course spoiled external...

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel is having extensive outside work done and work starts at back of 8 so forget having a long relaxing lie in bed. The hotel room was not as per the photos, bit disappointing scuffed walls, stained carpets, marked furniture. Breakfast was good, staff were very friendly and accommodating, had lunch...

Just back from a great weekend in Brighton, helped by the Grand Hotel. On arrival room was ready and what a room. The Hotel is going through major work, however that didn't effect us in anyway. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast, excellent and for for a small charge our daughter was allowed to join us even though she wasn't...

Stayed for two nights on business, hotel has a reputation for service and standards which were not disappointing at all, overall the stay was the right choice for our needs however, the second night of our stay was greatly disturbed by the noise levels of a function directly below us ( we had a room on the first floor )...

We stayed in one of the sale rooms whilst works is going on outside the rooms were on sale due to the restricted view. This did not spoil the room or our stay. The room we had was stunning and well worth the money. Service was excellent everyone was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Have stayed at the Grand many times and as it has now been refurbished, the no longer looks tired but still has that special feel - shame about the scaffolding outside as if requested a sea view you would have been disappointed
