After reading the fab reviews of this B&B I can say that our stay there lived up to all our expectations and more! Why go to impersonal, standard hotels when you can be as comfortable as if you were in your own home with the added bonus of being treated to a trayful of extras including chocolates and a small...

We made a return visit to Sussex on October 4 and chose to stay at Kempfield House again. We can recommend the service here as the staff are efficient and welcoming. We would like to thank Mon especially for her excellent service! This hotel is in a great location being only 10 mins from the town centre, beach walks and...

I had an excellent one night's stay here with my boyfriend. Late check-in was made simple and the staff had gone that extra mile providing champagne and chocolates for my arrival at the my boyfriend's request as it was my birthday the following day. Despite being in a front bedroom, it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is centrally located...

We arrived at the hotel on the Friday night and we went up to our room the Madeira room, which was up 6 flights of stairs, which we were not informed of when booking and I have a broken toe, which did not make it easy The room was basic, only two tea bags in the room, so you either...

OK, the welcome was good: helped with parking, informative and welcoming. But from then on... The room contained a bed but not much else - basically because there was not enough room for anything else. The noise from the street was incessant - suppose that's to be expected from a city centre place but double glazing would help. Similarly, the...

We were given the front first floor room, with complimentary wine - delicious. Comfortable king bed, and breakfast was excellent with eggs, sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes, croissants, cereals, fruit and yogurt. The coffee maker was new to me but made delicious coffee. The bathroom was a wet room - the shower is not separated from the sink and toilet - different...

Very clean and nice little hotel, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended, if you can live with the noise from the seagulls and partly the noise which follows when you stay in the middle of an area with bars and restaurants. I will be back for sure.

We stayed here for one night and whilst the room was OK, clean and tidy with TV, hairdryer ironing board etc. the main reason I am awarding Kempfield House 5***** is because of the delightful staff and the cooked-to-order breakfast. The breakfast room was clean, bright and very pleasant with a good array of things to choose from - hot...

I spent one night at this B&B with my boyfriend. The rooms are clean and contain everything you need but I feel they are overpriced considering they are quite basic with no little finishing touches. We stayed in a small double and there was plenty of space. The hotel information book mentioned a fridge containing wine for us to enjoy....
