If you could condense the spirit of a town into one building, Artist Residence Brighton would be it. Creative, bohemian and downright eccentric, this unique boutique hotel at the head of Regency Square was reborn when we sent out an ad offering artists free board in return for their services. As a result, each of the 24 rooms is a blend of quirky original artwork and local character, with eye-popping sea views over Brighton seafront and the iconic West Pier. Downstairs, the Clubhouse is a lively all-day neighbourhood hub, with light and airy spaces for a laid-back brunch, settling in with your laptop and a coffee, or enjoying cocktails.

The staff at artists residence are beyond welcoming, lovely, FUNNY and make sure to make the best drinks (recommend cruel intentions) whilst also having a memorable chat. Madi who checked us in was especially welcoming/professional and ensured that we loved our room (It was for myself and my partners 1 year anniversary). I couldn't fault my now (two) stays at artist residence Brighton. In fact, i would love to move here. And the staff and the hotels location, definley have a big role in that. Simply kind and welcoming people that work here. 10/10. a big thank you to Madi, Ronny, lewis and rose and Meriko.

Lovely hotel with very cool decor and a fab breakfast. Definitely better than other hotels I've used in Brighton. A bit small - I found this cute/characterful but if you like your space Id book one of the bigger rooms, and avoid if you have mobility issues.

Amazing service, and a great view. Room nicely done up. We were kindly upgraded. There are real pressures for small businesses to make a profit, but the rooms in my view are expensive and complementary breakfast may help customers get better value for money.

My third stay at Artist Residence Brighton and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the city. The rooms are unique and lovely, the breakfast is really good (the sriracha potatoes are divine) and I love relaxing in the bar and lounge areas. But the best thing about the hotel is the staff who are always so friendly and welcoming and can’t do enough to help, whether you’re a guest at the hotel or just popping in for a drink or breakfast.

This inn was a quaint spot with delicious food so close to everything. I will definitely stay again next time! The rooms were clean and decorated with such detail. The menu was fantastic and the hostesses were all extremely friendly and helpful!

The staff were incredible. It was New Year’s Eve but they went above and beyond to look after us. Our kids thought the bunk beds were the best thing ever! The staff allowed us to have the lounge which had a gorgeous Christmas tree up for New Year’s Day so we could have brunch with all of our friends and kids making our New Year’s Day super special and really relaxed. The kids also loved the table tennis. I can’t fault it! Comfy beds (I’m mega fussy) and will 100% come back if we see our Brighton friends overnight again!

I stayed at the Artist Residence in Brighton over Christmas. It was perfect and just what I was hoping for. It was decorated beautifully. The room was quiet and cosy. The cocktails, coffee, and breakfasts were delicious. A Tiny room might be too tiny for two. But it was perfect for my solo stay.
