Disappointing in that, although advertised for every room , there was no Wifi in our surcharged seaview room. The evening meal was expensive for the rationed portions. Parking was totally inadequate. We went on a discounted Travelzoo offer but would baulk at paying their usual rates for what one gets.

We loved it. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean (credit to the cleaners) and staff friendly and food tastey and well presented. We had a sea view which was stunning overlooking the sea.It is not immaculate (yet very comfortable, we slept very well) but feels more relaxed for it. We would stay again and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Grand courtesy of Travelzoo. Staff were smartly dressed and breakfast was very good - the kippers were superb! Had to wait a while but it was worth it. We had a sea view room which was great, although we would have preferred a bath rather than shower with the...

We had a pleasant two night visit to the Grand Hotel using a special offer advertised in the Waitrose magazine at £74 per person for two nights B&B and one evening meal. Considering we were not paying the full price our visit was exceptional value. The included breakfast offered a cold buffet and a cooked breakfast ordered from the menu....

This hotel has stunning views and friendly staff; however there are shortcomings in housekeeping and the restaurant. Wifi access is not, as advertised, available in every room. You have to be strategically placed, preferably next to the grand piano, in order to be connected. This is acknowledged by staff. The £15 per person fee for upgrade to a sea view...

The Grand is a lovely hotel, built in the 19th Century, but not at all 'faded'. The rooms are spotless, the beds beautifully comfortable, the food is good and the staff are everything you could wish them to be - friendly, helpful and courteous. The position on the cliff top at Swanage gives spectacular views of the bay and the...

Although there was free wifi, because of the hotel structure this wasn't actually available in our room, but it was in the lounge, so really that wasn't much of a problem. Other rooms may have been able to get it. The food was wonderful and all the staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly return, but off season. The only very...

Have just returned from a two day break at this Hotel, which has an excellent position giving one marvelous views of the Swanage coastline. Service was good,. Hotel very clean, but parking was difficult, for a holder of a Blue badge it was a bit of a problem. Our room 201 was clean and comfortable, clearly the Hotel has a...

To be fair the staff must stand out as excellent without exception, however signs of tiredness are obvious in the fabric of the building, Water savers in the WC do not allow sufficient water to flush the toilet, this needs addressing. After waiting ONE and a HALF hours for our main course in the restaurant I cannot say I was...
