We recently had a weekend break at The Grand on a deal of 2 nights B&B and 1 dinner, we also paid extra for a sea view room. As others have said the Grand is a little jaded in places but our room had a fantastic view and was clean and tidy, we had a shower room that was "compact"...

The hotel was a little tired, and could do with some tlc and improvement in places. However, everywhere was clean (with the exception of the stair banister at the top of the third floor which needed dusting and someone had written 'clean me' in the dust!!) and comfortable, the rooms were very clean and the restaurant was exceptional. The staff...

Great location overlooking the bay with garden and steps down to the beach. Everything just about perfect - service, room and food. Good walking country direct from hotel along coastal path to Studland. Also convenient bus stop only 3 minutes from hotel for Studland and Bournemouth.

Called in to the Grand today (Monday afternoon) for tea. This consisted of sandwiches, cakes and tea/coffee. The presentation on an old fashioned cake stand was a nice touch and the service was efficient. Very nice indeed! The view from the conservatory was first class. Would recommend.

We stayed here recently for a one night stay on a 'Secret Escapes' deal. The hotel was easy to find, although the parking area was small. However, we were able to park a few roads away so this was not an issue. The hotel is notably tired in a few places, but it is full of character. The conservatory area...

We had a weekend deal for bed and breakfast so it was really good value. The receptionist and waiters and waitresses are really helpful. The room was good with rea/coffee facilities and everything you would expect. We were on top floor,3rd, and the lift was out of order. Spa facilities were good, used swim pin pool, jacuzzi and sauna. There...

Purchased a break for two nights bed and breakfast in January with Dinner on the first night and it was an absolute bargain! Loved the hotel and staff - they were so friendly - from the Reception, Restaurant and Leisure. At breakfast, the Manager personally introduced herself to each of the tables and recommended places to visit locally. We followed...

We visited on a Travelzoo offer at £99 for a 2 day B&B. At this price it was excellent value, however if I had paid the normal price I would have been very disappointed with the tired condition of the hotel. The bedroom, 105, was small and had a spotlight streaming into the window at night, the room needs to...

Just a 2night short break in this very nice hotel, super position overlooking Swanage bay, a lovely comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and the biggest softest towels we have ever had in a hotel anywhere. We ate each evening in the conservatory, the food was good and steak cooked as asked, sadly we did not use...
