Comfortable hotel with good food, sea views worth paying for. Look for bargain breaks as rack rate is expensive. Rooms not that large and shower rooms not really big enough. The rooms were very hot even for the cold weather we had. Some great walking from the front door!

30 rooms means it's not crowded and the staff were smiley and helpful. We had a deal through Secret Escapes for Dinner, bed and breakfasts for 2 nights at just over £200 for the two of us. Worth every penny. Really good food , drinks reasonably priced with scenic views across the bay. Room was on 3rd floor, a cosy room...

We stayed at this hotel with trepidation but do you know what? We loved it. Beautiful old hotel with modern but cosy communal areas. The rooms were a bit tired and dated but bed was so comfy we had such a good night sleep and everything was really clean. We were really impressed with the food from the restaurant in...

The Grand at Swanage is the place to go if you want to feel spoiled - everything was just as we wanted it to be, without breaking the bank. The restaurant is THE place to eat if you are looking for beautifully-cooked and well-presented food, especially if you want to be able to eat it all without feeling stuffed. The...

A lovely Victorian Hotel with great views out to sea from the lounge area. The room rate was a little expensive given that our room was on the top floor, I would describe this as being an attic room and hence quite small. There were a few things that needed maintaining in the room but nothing that impeded our stay....

we LOVE the Grand Hotel, Swanage. the position is great, above the beach, with fabulous views, yet close enough to walk into town or the railway station. but it's the staff who make this hotel really the best for me. even tho' I don't spend megabucks, taking advantage of their special low-season offers, every time I visit they make me...

We were surprised to see how light and modern the restaurant is now after it's refurbishment. Very comfortable seating and the view the best in Swanage. The carvery lived up to it's high standard and the service was excellent. The whole atmosphere was friendly and good and we were delighted to find a jazz group playing in the afternoon. A...

We booked for dinner on Xmas Eve and we're hoping for festive food and ambience. Very sparse menu and when it came, a long wait later, the food was sparse too! The drinks order was also wrong when it arrived and the vegetables we requested didn't come. When we asked for them, the wrong order was delivered. We decided not...
