We had a lovely stay in this charming B&B in Shaftesbury. The owners, Trevor and Kate were very welcoming and extremely helpful in explaining all of the fantastic attractions nearby, including lovely walks in the local countryside and the amazing history that can be enjoyed simply by strolling through the village. Kate has created a lovely relaxed but luxurious traditional... More

Can't fault this b&b, it's owners or their lovely animals! Great location, very comfortable room opening onto the garden. Fantastic breakfast & all the help you would need for the local area. Would certainly stay again. Plus they have a very handy taxi driver who can take you anywhere required!

Stayed for one night whilst attending a wedding nearby. Before I arrived Kate was so helpful to me when arranging my travel plans - it made a huge difference. The B&B is in a brilliant location in the town and inside it has been beautifully restored and decorated. The room itself was perfect for me and had everything I needed.... More

Spent 4 nights here recently in the Garden Room with French windows opening on to a private courtyard. Large comfy bed, beautifully furnished room. This Georgian house is wonderful. Excellent breakfast also, loved the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon!

A really warm welcome to a wonderful home. Fab location to the village and all its sites. Both rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Beds huge and very very comfortable. Best sleep ever. The breakfast was excellent. Couldn't fault anything about this lovely B & B. Highly recommended and hope to visit again some day.

I stayed here last night with my partner and Mum and Dad. I don't think I've ever stayed in such a fantastic B&B. We were attending a family wedding nearby and the owners made us feel so welcome. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this B&B... More

Number 5 ticked all of the boxes for us: comfortable, well-appointed room, superb breakfast and excellent location. The house has been elegantly refurbished to a very high standard by Kate and Trevor and is very much in keeping with its Geogian origins. Parking is in the secure car park opposite where No5 have a couple of reserved spaces. We stayed... More

WOW! After staying in several quaint, historic B&Bs it was a pleasant surprise to arrive at Number 5, an historic city-center inn with a high-end artistic flair. My husband wanted to photograph the famous "Gold Hill" so we chose this B&B for the location, about a 2 minute walk to the scenic Gold Hill. Free private parking is directly across... More

Booked for a night away with my husband. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely pot of tea and homemade biscuits on arrival. Room was fabulous - kingsize bed, powerful shower, lovely smellies to use, complimentary chocolates, wifi access. Fantastic breakfast in the morning - fresh and tasty. Will certainly come back.
