We stayed on a Sunday night, in a room overlooking the main street. We were not troubled by sounds from the bar or the church bells which seemed very distant through the double glazing. We really liked our room, which had all the quirky character of an old coaching inn. The beds were clean and comfortable and there was tea...

Popped in before a Non League Football match wearing football colours. Friendly staff and customers. Good range of beers with barrel drawn selection of real ale on view. Clean toilets, town centre location.

Had a one night stay at this very nice hotel situated. Our room had been recently renovated and was delightful. 15th century coaching in and only 9 miles from Oxford centre. We drove to the park and ride at Redbridge. Parked for only £2 for the whole day and too the bus in - perfect. Only had breakfast at hotel...

This hotel was okay but not special in any way. The accommodation was clean and the bed comfortable but the room was very cramped with too much furniture, a tiny bathroom and it was very hot. The food was mediocre and ours included rather chewy so called rib eye steaks. However, other peoples food on other tables looked alright. The...

We were staying in room 1 in the main building, the room was large clean and well organised. Large flat screen TV and plenty of storage space, however the mattress is probably past it's best. The bathroom was large and very clean, only downside is that the shower is the hand held mixer tap variety. We didn't use the bar...

After reading the reviews I decided to book a room at the George in Dorchester. The village is very pretty and great for walks, our room was located in a motel style building off of the car park, to say it was awful was an understatment, I would have rather drove the 85 miles home than sleep in the room....

We booked online, arrived to find they were hosting a private party. Husband and I stood in the middle of a dark disco hall feeling as though we were intruding as we waited to be checked in! We were taken to our family room. Lady explained that our room wasn't completely ready ( didn't arrive til 5pm) and promised to...

I came here during a very busy week in Dorchester when everything else was booked out. I was pretty disappointed. The TV did not work, the toilet flushed only occasionally, there was no shower head in the bath. I could not get breakfast because I did not order it in advance when I booked. The disco downstairs until 2 am...
