Good room with comfortable bed and very good bathroom facilities. However, on a very wet Monday unable to use lounge in the afternoon due a cookery demo.Over priced cans of lager £4.75 per can. Not an easy place to find and the road leading there not the best to drive along in the dark.

We went for my husband 's birthday lunch. Restaurant was very nicely set out and fitting for a cottage, just right.We. We're offered canapés as part of the lunch and enjoyed these with drinks in the lounge. I eat no meat but enjoyed the Portland crab in squid ink brioche followed by plaice wrapped in smoked salmon on the most...

I was expecting a small hotel, but this is really a B&B with a restaurant. We both found the service too personal; it felt as if we were staying in someone's house, and I wasn't too keen on being called by my first name. I had been booked in by the Dorchester Literary Festival, and because I had waived my...

We stayed recently at Yarbury cottage It like a bed and breakfast establishment and you feel you are staying in some ones house. The nibbles supplied were very good and the starter was OK. We both had the duck having spent several years on holiday in the Dordogne where it is also on the menu of most restaurants. When the duck...

Lovely little place set in a lovely area. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, unfortunatley the restaurant was already fully booked which was a shame as it is apparently the best in and around Dorchester. Took our spaniel who was also enjoyed his stay!

This was the first night of our holiday and was the perfect way to start. The greeting on arrival was very friendly, the bedroom was spacious and the food excellent. The hotel is in a quiet location perfect for exploring the area. Hope to return in the future

Have just spent three nights here. Warmly greeted on arrival by the owner Jamie who was on his way out when i arrived. Stopped and got out of his car to make sure I was ok. Booking in was friendly and slick, bags carried to my room where I was shown how everything in the room worked. I then sat...

We stayed a night to celebrate an anniversary. The Cottage is delightfully situated in 'the middle of nowhere' and is quiet and rural. Our bedroom was fine -- not overly decorated, but with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The bathroom was superb -- newly fitted out with a good bath and lots of hot water. Our dinner was excellent -- very...

The perfect first night stop in England. We booked three rooms on the dinner, bed and breakfast plan and everything was perfect. Even though it was chilly and rainy, the staff made sure that we were warm and happy. Our rooms were all lovely, the showers were excellent, the wi-fi works well. The meals were incredibly good. The grounds and...
