We stayed for only 1 night but we would have loved to have stayed longer. They were great! The room was furnished very tastefully, location is excellent and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend The Casterbridge!

Clean and very comfortable rooms. Hospitality and food excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable stay. Hosts were very helpful in returning toiletries which were left behind. Much appreciated! Will be back.

A small and cosy hotel with lovely rooms designed with much care. The rooms are tidy and spotless. Marvelous service and superb homemade breakfast. Short distance to city center, museums and restaurants.

This is a lovely property on the villages high street. There is pay car park close by and one or two private free parking spaces in front of their garage. The stairs can be a bit steep so ask for the first floor to save...More

Historical building conveniently located near the centre of Dorchester with great hospitality from the caring owners. We were given a warm welcome and well looked after throughout our four night stay. Ideal base for visiting the Thomas Hardy properties and walking the Thomas Hardy trails....More

Hi We do not serve evening meals. We did for a two year period a couple of years ago have a former "Master chef" winner here, but no longer. Plenty of options nearby. Kind regards Monica
