We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back again. Ideally situated for the jurassic coast. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff in the bar and restaurant were attentive and friendly. All in all a very positive experience.

I went into The Fox pub in Ansty, Dorset, with my family for a Sunday carvery. I had booked the table two weeks in advance. On arriving, the staff were very helpful. They showed us to the table and we confirmed we were all choosing the carvery. After getting our food from the carvery it was noticed that the meat...

Myself, my wife and our dog booked to stay here for a weekend break. We were given a warm greeting by the staff but had to go for a short walk as we had arrived 20 minutes before the 2pm booking in time and our room wasn't ready. We came back at around 14.30 and went to the room as...

We had a nice relaxing time, the Inn needs some TLC and updating. The bedroom walls are paper thin, it was so annoying to hear the man next door snoring all night! Lovely location and ideal for a short break.

11 of us went here for a Sunday carvery to celebrate a birthday. Lovely table in the garden room. Service excellent and quick. Carvery meat was melt in the mouth. Able to have a bit of 4 meats, beef, Turkey, pork and gammon. Loads of vegetables and potatoes as well as massive Yorkshire puddings. First class food and service in...

Popped into this pub on Monday and had the steak pie. Excellent service and friendly staff with really nice surroundings. Will definitely be back looks to be a must for summer, I'm interested in staying at the hotel looks like a nice relaxing get away type of place from modern life.

Reader be aware that there are two threads running on this establishment here on Trip Advisor. I mention this as you might like to read both as some views seem conflicting at first & it becomes clear (however one sees that?), if you read both threads. That said, one cannot unimpressed by this magnificent building & indeed, although a little...

This is the ideal place to get away from it all especially if you like walking in the country and have a dog(s). Friendly staff, comfortable and well decorated rooms, and great food. There is a fully fitted indoor dog washdown room. Waist-height wet table with shower, grooming table and a proper dryer that has the dog dry again in...

We had a meal after a walk in the beautiful local area. We visited the famous Dorsetshire Gap, walked back via Higher Melcombe and Bingham's Melcombe. We were able to take our time as lunches go on until 3pm. I don't eat a lot so was able to have a small roast, it was still very generous and so much...
