Chosen as it was convenient from Ringwood and Exeter for a family lunch. Luckily we had booked and arrived on time, shortly afterwards, it was standing room only. Very popular it seems. Excellent choice of lunch menu. We were not rushed, excellent food all at a reasonable price. Would visit again.

I chose this pub/restaurant as it had been recommended by a friend who travels from Bournemouth to eat here. I had organised a family lunch and this was fairly central for us all. The pub is tastefully decorated throughout, including the toilets! The staff were welcoming and friendly. The menu was very good - a wide range to cover a...

Stayed here for one night with my partner for a birthday get away. She had a candle in her desert and a threat by the fantastic staff to sing her happy birthday! We had an evening meal in the pub and stayed the night in the guest lodge, which is situated across the car park from the main property. This...

Wow - what a beautiful village Sydling St Nicholas is. We walked here from our amazing rental barn (Rose Barn, Frampton). The walk was 4 miles on quiet country roads - so we were hungry on arrival. And so lovely to arrive to a warning wood burner and friendly staff and locals. We had booked a table which was late...

The room (called "Ted") itself was lovely, well though out with tasteful décor. However, the bed was rather hard and the windows were so high up in the eaves that I could not look out of them (I'm 5' tall). The bathroom was a little disappointing, while although very clean with plentiful hot water and fluffy towels, the tiles and...

My husband and I visit Dorset every Autumn, and usually include a lunch at the Greyhound on one of our days. We have been to this establishment over a few years now, and it seemed to go from good, down to just about average, and we were a little concerned about going again this year, in case it hadn't taken...

We received a very warm welcome at The Greyhound and the team readily added a z bed to our room - which was very nicely furnished - for our son. Our bed however was a little on the small side and the two dinners we ate there were a little hit and miss. There were some very tasty dishes but...

Down in this delightful part of the world on business and found this excellent Inn which from the initial welcome from Matt and his friendly was first class with nothing too much trouble . The room and accommodation was both modern, clean and homely and everything required for a good nights sleep. The pub itself has a traditional warm relaxing...

This was a delightful surprise. The inn is a popular eatery. We arrived later than expected and our welcome was warm. The rooms are located just over the car park and our room “Maggie” was delightfully and comfortably furnished Large and spotless bathroom, gallons of hot water and lovely and warm. A table had been reserved for us in the...

The food and service was just amazing we were treated like Royalty nothing was too much trouble. Both the lunch time snack and evening meal were amazing. We ate from the specials board having Moules mariniere and a whole...
