We booked to come to this hotel at the end of October for one night as we were meeting friends and didn't want the long drive home. A few days after booking they tried to take the money from my account I was a little shocked as we stay in lots of hotels and always pay on checking out not...

We enjoyed a fantastic week's holiday staying at The lovely Balincourt June/July. A beautiful, large & very comfortable room at the side of the hotel on the first floor. Excellent tea/coffee making tray, bottles of water supplied each day along with a nice touch of little chocolates. This very welcoming hotel has beautiful planting in the front garden. Great choices...

Spent a night in a standard bedroom. Where standard bedrooms in chain hotels are just ok, this one far exceeds that. The bed was really comfortable and the ensuite which comprised of only a shower was great. There are lots of nice homely touches, such as the anti slip mat for the shower was tied up with a ribbon. A...

Thanks for your review. It means a lot to us when guests take so much time to leave their comments. Should our car park be full there is plentiful unrestricted on street car parking nearby. Our staff will be pleased to help. Many people are surprised to learn that we are classified as a guest house. However, as our website...

Stayed at The Balincourt for two nights while attending a wedding in Poole. Our room was very clean and bright. The Bed was lovely and comfortable and the bedding is of high quality. Breakfast is fantastic and really nice to be served and not a help yourself buffet. Nigel and Allison are very friendly and welcoming. Nice selection of toiletries....

Thanks for your review. We do add a lot of extras for the benefit of guests and appreciate you taking the time to point these out. It's worth mentioning that, as a Victorian listed building, we can on rare occasions have low water pressure. We hope in this instance your stay wasn't unduly affected.

Our room was fresh, very clean and modern. The bed was sooo comfortable! The owners were lovely and cooked us a hearty and delicious breakfast. I would recommend it to couples looking for a trip to the seaside.

We have just returned from a four night stay at this guest house. We found the place beautifully clean and well furnished. Extra touches such as bottles of water and a wide variety of teas in the room added to the experience. Our hosts were obliging and nothing was too much trouble. Free car parking was also a good point....

Returned to the Balincourt as we were attending the Air Show. Nigel and Alison are very welcoming and go out of their way to ensure guests have everything needed. Our room was well appointed, spotlessly clean, and well stocked with toiletries and beverages. Breakfast was a good selection of fruit and cereals followed by a lovely cooked breakfast. Their staff...

The Hotel (actually a Guest House), is clean, well-run, managed by an enthusiastic and caring couple who went the extra mile for us, particularly with our dietary requirements and genuinely interested in us and what we did. We'll be back!

I stayed here in July for 2 nights and had a great experience. The owners were very welcoming and the room was clean, quiet and the little touches were really appreciated. Stayed here recently for a last minute break. The room was quite small and the bathroom minuscule. Although very clean there was a smell in the bathroom due to the masserater toilet. The shower was very poor, weak power and kept going cold due to other guests using the water at the same time, although the water from the taps...
