My friend and I were very worried after seeing some bad reviews of this hotel but now realize you have to check for yourself !!!! We have just returned home after spending Christmas at the Maemar. We had a wonderful time. Yes, the rooms are basic but you get what you pay for. The staff work hard, and cant do...

what a shocking place, yes cheap, yes budget.... but this means basic not dirty and broken. The divan bed was falling to bits leaning to one side, which we wedged a chair and bedside table beside to keep it up during the night, not a one off as our friends room was the same. The bedroom light was hanging off...

I was told on arrival ,when I was asked for photo ID that the police demanded it as the local area had 3 large rehab units for drug users and criminals. One of the longer term guests sat down next to me to tell me how he had not had a good night out as the police had told him...

Dear Guest, We certainly do not have rehab units for drug users or criminals in the area. Secondly i do not think the police would say anything like the comment as suggests to people shouting outside. We are pleased that the breakfast was okay for you. We offer clean & basic rooms, we are a low - medium budget hotel,...

Our first night was ok, nothing major to complain about there. After the breakfast the next morning, every member of our group had n upset stomach, Coincidence? Not sure about that but needed mentioning. The 2nd night, my cardigan got knocked onto the floor which wasnt a big deal so left it for a while, when i came to pick...

Dear Guest, in response to your allegations we have rats, this is totally wrong, on the back of your allegations we had yet had another inspection of all the property by our pest force company. every room has been checked and the whole of the outside premises have been checked. There was no evidence of any rodent activity. All documentation...

We arrived late and in a mad rush to head out but the check in took a long time thanks to there only being one staff member running both reception and the bar, and there being a couple of stag parties in wanting drinks (understandably). Finally got to the room but it was basically a glorified cell - the kind...

We arrived at the hotel earlier than expected as check in was from 2pm we didn't expect to be able to get into our room so we left our luggage in the car. We were surprised that our room was ready and we were able to check in straight away. We paid for our room in FULL and then went...

When we arrive in the hotel the lady in the reception said the check in time is 3pm, so waited for a bit in the lounge. But I was disappointed because she knows we are waiting there and one guest came in to check in and she accepted to check in already which is 10 mins to 3pm. The room...
