I like this place. Probably paid over the odds as booked late, £460 for 2 nights was more 4* and for that would expect more. Family rooms very spacious and well appointed with large balcony facing south overlooking lovely gardens and partial see view. Very poor soundproofing in rooms lets them down, could hear conversation and noise in neighbouring rooms....

I took my Husband here for a surprise Birthday gift and it was a nice hotel. Got there around 2.40pm and was told couldn't have keys till 3pm so we went into the bar area for a drink and the views were stunning. The hotel was very luxurious but is also an old building so lots of creaks as you...

Visited with our 6yo and 2yo. They loved it- and that meant we really got the chance to relax. Recommend this hotel wholeheartedly for young families. An in-house soft play, KidsClub, swimming pool, really good breakfast. Found the bar food a bit ordinary (and pricey) but there are several lovely cafes and other eateries within 10 mins or so. Beautiful...

Having stayed here about half a dozen times before. This was first choice for our stay. The view. Say no more. Location. Perfect. On arrival we were welcomed by friendly staff. After being in our room we found a problem with the bathroom. The manager came up himself to try and sort it, made many apologies and called a plumber....

This hotel has just reopened after a winter closure and it could be fair to say it has a few teething troubles that could have been sorted during the closure. Indoor pool jacuzzi not working. Outdoor pool not opening til May. Bar by the decking not open so you have to go one floor higher to order drinks and food....

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We had an overnight stay in a family room with a garden view and huge balcony - a very pleasant room. Are expectations were not high, as it is a 3 star hotel. However, it surpassed expectations with the room, facilities and above all the evening meal, which was of...

I used to visit this hotel twice a year over a period of 10 years as a child. It was amazing. My whole family would go and we all loved it. I recently visited as a trip down memory lane. It's a great building and the staff are pretty good. It's hugely let down by the food. It's got really...
