Booked this online and so read all the reviews for several hotels but this stood out as one which would suit us. From the initial check in to when we left I cannot fault the service nor staff who were helpful and dealt efficiently with any requests we had. The swimming pools are clean and warm which was great, and...

Two friends and I went on a painting holiday here and had a great time. There were 10 of us altogether - a lovely friendly group and we had lots of laughs. Tuition was good and tips picked up. The hosts, Christine and John, were very kind and helpful and the food, cooked by John, was delicious. There was always...

Very disappointed. The hotel was not as luxurious as I expected,no Christmas atmosphere, no music. room 12 was small with no proper wardrobe, an inadequate shower which I couldn't use. I had heard that John's cooking was good but I found it was average First days lunch was sandwiches !!! Painting tutor could have been better. For £725 I expected...

I like practical art holidays because, living on my own (I am 85, a widower) I enjoy meeting others with interests in common. My three nights at the Boscombe Spa Hotel were exactly what I had hoped to find. There were 11 staying for a weekend course 'Winter Buildings' . From the welcoming glass of wine on the first night,...

I go here frequently for art holidays, in which the hotel specialises. Nothing is too much trouble for the proprietors Christine and John. They maintain a friendly and relaxed house-party atmosphere. John's cooking is superb. Accommodation is simple but comfortable. The art breaks are really good value for money, with everything included (even wine at dinner if you want it)...

I went on holiday on my own last year to this hotel, so when I returned the second time was just a joy, the hotel is very homely, and you are made to feel very welcome, which is great when you are on your own, I went as I wanted to improve my painting abilities, they have tutors who stay...

We stayed at the Boscombe Spa Hotel through an internet offer and were really pleased. We had the downstairs room as my husband is walking disabled. The bed was a comfortable king size and although the room wasn't big, it suited us perfectly. The hotel is well looked after and Christine who owns the hotel and runs it was lovely. You...

My partner and I stayed here for one night to go to the BIC to see Dara O'Briain. We were met by one of the owners who helpful told me I could park at the front of the hotel. Both owners were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us a photocopied map to keep, and placed local restaurants in both...

Stayed here for 1 night to go to the 02 academy, and the location was brilliant, only 5 mins walk away. Owners very friendly and extremely helpful, they recommended a lovely restaurant near by and mapped out our onward journey. Our room was warm, clean and functional - perfect for one night. Breakfast was freshly cooked and set us up...
