We have just returned from our second stay at the Steam Packet and cannot wait to return. Everything was fabulous - the staff, the room, the food and the location. Everyone made us feel so welcome. We stayed in Room 1 which has a lovely view over the river - the bed was the possibly the most comfortable that I... More

We have just returned from a long weekend here and could not have been more impressed ! The rooms have just been refurbished to a high standard and the attention to detail was superb! Went in here to had a pint and a coffee before heading back to Paignton. I also had a chocolate brownie which im not sure if it was made in house but it was so tastey. We sat in the large outside seating area even though a bit chilly. There are heaters on the patio umbrellas. The pub/restaurant is next... More

23/10/16 (Sunday and Monday nights) don't be fooled by first impression as you walk into the loung of a well used pub, an open log fire greeted us at this quirky old building. Excelant bar meal after our long drive was of high quality and well received. The age of the building meant the bedroom (No1)was small but well heated... More

Room 4 was beautiful. Recently refurbished. Bathroom extra roomy, nice big shower. Bedroom smallish. Person who sleeps on the left side cant get out of bed as the bed is next to the wall, which may be a problem for some people. Very comfortable though. Desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe all available. Wi-fi and parking on site. Great venue.... More

Really friendly staff and food is so nice. Would highly recommend if you are in Totnes. Between us we had pie of the day (steak and mushroom), which was gorgeous, hake fillet, fish and chips, burger and a lovely macaroni cheese with Stilton, spinach, mushroom and ham hock mmmmmmmmmmm!

What could be better that spending a nice couple of hours in the sun with a cool beer and this is the best placed pub for doing just that. As near to the River Dart as you can be and be able to watch the goings on of the river and quay opposite. Gets really busy outside in the summer... More

We sat outside by the river and had sandwiches and chips. The food was excellent (best bread we've had in a while). Lovely selection on the menu and very nice staff. They also managed to keep all the tables clear so we weren't besieged by gulls while we ate.
