thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Very friendly, clean and accommodating. Lovely breakfast which actually gave the choice of a good quality porridge and a generous bowl of blueberries too. Covid precautions were also taken seriously. Ideally located too being a few minutes away from the ferry boats and likewise the shops, bus and rail links.
We have stayed at the Four Seasons before and will definitely visit again. We received a very warm welcome. The breakfast was scrumptious and our room was warm and comfortable with all the necessary amenities plus tea and coffee and free WiFi. The situation of the guest house is fantastic, just minutes from the town, which has shops, cafes and restaurants. The quay is only minutes away too. There are some excellent riverside walks and public transport is good.
Lovely, accommodating hosts, happy to please. Breakfast in bed was a real treat. Thank you for squeezing us in, despite peak season, we had a great holiday and loved staying in Totnes, it’s a lovely town and close to Dartmouth where we had booked a lot of our activities. The boat trip from Totnes to Dartmouth is recommended x
One night stay. Still in covid restrictions, so breakfast was continental delivered to your door. And checking in was collecting key and instructions from porch. We had room 4 lovely big room at back of hotel so no road noise. Very clean room. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee and biscuits in room. Little pack of sweets and small bottle of water. Bathroom was spotlessly clean with toiletries and kit with cotton buds etc and sewing kit. Lovely big shower and fluffy towels and bath mat. Was the hottest weekend of the year and they had thoughtfully left the window open. Only negative may have been the availability of parking can get a couple of small cars or one big one on pavement outside or park up side road. As we were visiting friends we parked there. So didn't have to look for parking. Would definitely stay again. Owners were very helpful but not on booking sites so you have to contact direct. …
Wonderful stay.Beautiful accomodation, tip top service.Hospitality at it's very best.Beats alot of Hotels I've stayed in.Nothing is ever too much trouble for Laura and Paul. Four Nights stay, and thoroughly enjoyed, beautiful breakfast every morning, lovely bright cosy room.Well done to Laura and Paul, and a very BIG thank you.🌟
This was our staycation choice for a few days away in Totnes. We felt quite spoilt by Laura as nothing was too much trouble for her. There was so much choice for breakfast with plenty of fruit and homemade preserves. Our bedroom was a good size and the bed was comfy. Thank you to our hosts Laura and Paul
My husband, Paul, stayed here recently for 4 nights. He was very pleased with his room, found the location perfect for walking to town, buses etc, loved the muesli and blueberries for breakfast, and Laura was the perfect landlady. Very reasonable price too!
This reasonably priced Band B is run with quiet efficiency. You receive a warm welcome and relevant information. Our room was large, spotless with a very comfortable bed and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious with good choices including fresh fruit and quality yoghurt and the fry up was a real treat, beautifully cooked. I recommend this place with no hesitation.
We stayed one night (Saturday) as we were celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary. Though we have been coming down to Devon during those years we had never been to Totnes. The guesthouse was very easy to find and our host, Paul was very welcoming when we arrived and took our suitcase to our room. He gave us a map of the town and offered some feedback on various places to eat. The room (3) was large and nicely furnished with plenty of storage, a double bed and room for a sofa. The bed was comfy and we were grateful for the ceiling fan as we were facing the road we didn't want to leave the window open and be subject to traffic noise (which there wasn't any anyway). The shower was good, with plenty of hot water and nice toiletries. The breakfast the following morning was delicious, good choice of hot food and plenty of fresh fruit, cereals. The coffee was very good too. Laura, our host at breakfast was friendly and helpful. There was the most beautiful bouquet of lillies in the reception area. She told me that she grows them. The arrangement was simply stunning. There was some jars of home made strawberry and raspberry jam for sale. I bought one to take home with me. Even if you don't want to explore Totnes itself, this is a good base for which to explore Brixham, Dawlish, Teignmouth, etc and there are various National Trust properties within a short drive. We are definitely going to go back to stay at this guesthouse, as its very good value for money.…
I stayed here for 4 nights while exploring Totnes and the nearby area. Spacious room with an enormous amount of storage space was very appreciated after a tiny room in Exeter the nights before. Soft but comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The best thing was the breakfast, however, especially the baked tomatoes. The place is fairly conveniently located, Totnes center is just down the hill and across the bridge and there’s a convenience store next door. Paul and Laura are excellent hosts and I’ll definitely come stay again if I’m in the area.
