We booked with Coopers tours. Very good coaches. We arrived at The Regina Hotel later than we should have because of an accident on the M1. Nevertheless we arrived. The hotel manager came on the bus and was very polite and introduced himself. He told us that our luggage would be taken to our rooms and we booked in at...

We have stayed in this hotel twice before with Alfa holidays. Our Alfa driver this year was Simon, a relatively new guy to the company, but very easy to get on with and a great character. This year we stayed in room 27 with another family member in room 28. Both pleasant enough rooms, well serviced and clean. Our main...

The Manager was rude and disrespectful and clearly dislikes his job, he was very fake towards customers.. Waitresses looked miserable and weren't polite or very well trained. Food wasn't to a good enough standard. Very poorly ran hotel. It has made me not want to bother with leisureplex again and will defiantly not return

Took my elderly mother, daughter and grandaughter to Torquay, for first the time - I paid extra for room with sea view for my mum and myself. There was bird muck on the window, the room was smallish and very, very dated. Decor was out of the 70's - wood chip wallpaper and wilton carpets. Before having a wash after our...

We were so looking forward to our holiday, only to be very disappointed! A total shambles at Burtonwood Interchange (both ways!). We had a two and a half hour wait on the return journey! The hotel was in a nice situation on the harbour, but that is the only nice part about it! The food was very poor, and if...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Regina Hotel - Torquay - (3 Alpha grading - AA three star). Wonderfully situated on the harbour side with the principal shops and theatre a short stroll away. Part of the Regina is interesting as the home of the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Relaxing bar lounge, air conditioned restaurant and lively bar with dance floor and entertainment most evenings. Limited parking at the hotel but plenty of commercial parking close by. Lift serves many rooms but the hotel consists of several Georgian and Victorian buildings and there are many changes of level. ... more   less
