Rubbish Room, Rude staff after changing our booking. Be aware they have the right to change your booking without notice, so that if you order a sea room and have the confirmation. ‘we have the right to change it if we need too’ We were put in a big (family) room downstairs next to an ally and a generator that...

Stayed here for two nights in July, receptionist was pretty clueless because I had booked to stay an additional night and he looked like he didn't really have a clue what was going on- when we asked for an additional key he just looked clueless. There was a problem with the heating so the hotel was absolutely boiling, even more...

The Waters Edge, as a building has seen better days. Lots of atmosphere and creaky dòors and floor boards. But the location is good enough to allow a little tolerance. Beautiful views from a building which is very close to the sea, and a delightful little garden with seats to make the most of the sights. The staff were very...

Firstly the hotels location on the water front is great. Quite a walk 20/30 mins along the sea front to town. Nice walk but after a few times got laborious. The rooms were clean quite dated and shall we say patched. Really could do with an overhaul. Not the hotels fault I know but we stayed on a very hot...

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights whilst visiting family in Torquay. The good points are: The hotel is situated in a superb location with a wonderful view across the bay from the front garden, the room was clean but a bit tatty, as was the bathroom, room quite small but this is a budget hotel. The sea view rooms...

We have been to the Waters Edge on several previous occasions and I know that we will continue to visit it again in the future. Located opposite the famous Corbyn's Head which is literally on the coast and an easy flat walk to the outstanding harbour. The hotel is great value and in some ways I'm reluctant to review it...

And now the room cleanish...very dated...small..shower loose...rusty shower rail and radiator...ill fitting curtain...Very hot water...

Torquay B + B, Watery towers, this has got to be close. Positive, the bedding and linen was clean. Negative, floor boards creaked everywhere, carpets old, tired and worn, dust and cob webs. Asked for a double and got given a 3/4 size and a single in the attic I think !! The grumpy man who served breakfast couldn't even...

I have stayed here all week while working in the area. I normally stay in chain hotels but was booked in here by my work. It is a bit dated, but clean and very helpful staff, the poor guy on reception seems to work all hours but is alway polite and nice when he sees you. The hotel is opposite...
