We have just stayed here on a working weekend break & after reading numerous reviews on how good this hotel is, I need to share how dissapointed I was! I can't believe there's so many good reviews. Our room number 9 was terrible! We arrived very late Friday night at midnight so keys were left for us, upon walking through...

We visited Torquay for the weekend and stayed two nights at the hotel which was situated 5 minutes walk from the seafront. The room was nice with all the usual facilities for a 3* hotel, the staff were friendly and chatty and you could tell that they enjoyed there work. The grounds of the hotel are plenty full with adequate...

Public rooms and gardens are a joy, some of the bedrooms and other areas are on line for refurbishment that this family owned hotel are working on as a roling programme (its a bit 1980/90s....) and in adding the bathrooms back...

We stayed for just one night this week, wish we could have stayed longer. The house and gardens are stunning, with views of the sea. Positioned an easy stroll from Meadfoot Beach. The hotel itself seems to be work in progress. The public rooms were lovely and what I would expect from a house of this age, it looked as...

I have just returned from a four day break at the Hotel Balmoral, Torquay. The rooms were small, clean and functional. As mentioned in previous comments, the rooms are somewhat dated, but I felt that added to the hotels charm. There is no lift in the hotel, which could be a problem for people with recent hip or knee replacements....
