On arrival we was greeted by Craig who is a charming man, and very attentive to your requirements and very helpful information of the local area. Over the course of the 3 nights that we stayed I can honestly say both Craig and his partner Ian were fantastic hosts. The breakfast albeit served rather restrictively between 8.30 and 9.30 daily,...

Dear Davenkaz6365 Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write a review. We thank you for your positive comments regarding our hospitality, the public areas and our breakfast. There were a couple of areas of concern regarding your review. I checked the bathroom in this room immediately after reading the review, as cracked shelves in bathrooms with bare...

I stayed at The Marstan for a weekend break, a decision prompted by the excellent reviews from previous guests. I normally stay at hotels with restaurants, but I knew Torquay had many good eateries, so knew that aspect was not an issue. I travel extensively with work, and know that it is often the service which will differentiate between hotels....

Having just returned from a 3 day break at the Marstan Hotel we wanted to share our thoughts. After a fairly lengthy drive we arrived and was met by Craig a nice chap with a bubbly personality. He provided us with a very welcome freshly brewed Coffee and Tea and invited us to relax in the piano room whilst he...

We have just returned from a short Easter break and were delighted to find our hosts so kind and attentive to my elderly parents. Nothing was too much trouble. Craig and Ian are excellent hosts and the hotel and hot tub were a great combination to ensure a relaxing time! The Easter egg gifts were a nice personal touch.

What can I say....fantastic doesn't do it justice. Loved everything about it. We ran late because of the M5 car park and we were greeted by the wonderful Craig and a much needed coffee! The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was brilliant too. Poached eggs cooked to perfection by Ian and home...

It was exactly what we were looking for. With additional details like the offer of fresh coffee upon arrival, good choice of magazines, the wonderful breakfast menu - including pancakes and even an Easter egg on Easter Sunday.

Stayed in the first week of April. Craig started the trip with a superb welcoming and it only got better from there. Lovely rich styling throughout. Old victorian propertyt, only issue was water pressure occasionally, but expected. Superb cooked breakfast and pancakes. Amazing comfortable bed. It's a 10 minute walk to the pubs and restaurants and uphill on the way...
