We'd stayed here earlier this year. The service was excellent. The room was lovely and the breakfast was really nice. Very close to lots of nice restaurants and some nice walks so a perfect base for Torquay.

A beautiful hotel that is spotlessly clean, towels were white and fluffy, Very elegantly decorated. Roger and Peter were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well presented and served by a lovely lady called Jean . Our room was excellent but a little to many stairs to climb to the top of the hotel for a husband who has heart...

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind comments. For future readers, it's probably worth noting that the hotel has rooms on three floors (Ground, First and Second), and being a based around an 1853 Gentleman's private residence, does not have a lift. If you would like to avoid the top floor, then call...

Stayed for two nights. Good location & plenty of on site parking. As we checked in we were given lots of very useful information I.e. the £2 return Brixham ferry & the 'Hole in the Wall' oldest inn in Torquay - a unique place full of character & a great meal too. The Haytor was spotlessly clean & very comfortable....

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your kind comments. As you mention, your stay coincided with a heatwave and combined with being a top floor room, whiklst we are never going to complain about dawn to dusk sunshine, this will have made it little warmer in the room than we would have hoped. All...

Exemplorary customer service throughout - check in was informative with all staff welcoming and professional. Room (No 5) including bathroom was spotlessly clean, spacious and of high quality. The most comfortable bed ever and we have stayed at numerous of B&Bs, hotels, etc throughout the UK & worldwide. Breakfast was flavoursome and professionally served with options to suit all. The...

A beautiful hotel with a touch of class. Our room was lovely if not a little on the warm side and the spotlight did shine in the bedroom window at night. it had a nice large shower and nice fluffy towels, the breakfast was excellent and the lady who was in charge of the breakfast service couldn't do enough for...

We stayed here for a short three night break. The Haytor deserves all the fabulous reviews. It is spotless (and I am very fussy!), beautifully decorated and has friendly but not intrusive staff. I would definitely recommend this delightful hotel.

It was over 25 years since we last visited Torquay, however, due to a sunny weather forecast we booked here for a couple of nights. We booked a standard room which we thought was on the small side, however, perfectly adequate for a couple of nights, larger rooms were available. Best things about the hotel are the location which is...
