Nicely situated Hotel. 10 mins walk to Babbacombe cliff, beach and Hanburys famous fish and chip restaurant. (brilliant!). Or 20 minutes walk down into Torquay centre. Alternatively Buses 11,22 and 32 pass outside every 10 minutes. Hotel still looks very grand if you don't look too closely. Ample free parking. Room ok but very poor shower. Rear rooms face East...

This hotel looks so grand from the outside and even as your enter it has a lovely homely feel. When checking in the receptionist gave me very little information. She went to send me on my way after just telling me my room number and where the lift was...I had to ask where dinner is and what time it is,...

I'm writing the review while being in the hotel just so you know how disappointed and truly shocked I am. I travelled here in business and usually would have chosen something more suitable for travelling professionals but I am planning my holiday in Torquay so I thought I'll try this, apparently 4 stars, hotel. I was impressed with building itself,...

I took my wife to the Palace Hotel to celebrate her 50th, and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was excellent our room was very tastefully decorated with a big king size bed and the bathroom had lashings of hot water too. Also the hotel had an indoor pool and sauna as well. The gym facilities were a bit in...

We’ve stayed at the Palace twice over the last couple of months and it is truly amazing and excellent value. Now I know it is tired and a bit chipped but what the hell – it is just faded glory and the glory remains. So I’m going concentrate on the good things. The grounds – huge with a walk down...

At the same conference as previous reviewer but must have been more fortunate, large warm clean room with crisp white sheets room faced onto road but didn't find at all noisy, lots of hot water for bath, the food was really good and staff were lovely. Gardens were delightful to walk around and able to sit on warm terrace even...

I should first start by saying I didn't pay to stay here I came on a charity conference, had I have paid I would have been disappointed! It's dated and so old at The Palace, whereas some see it as a charm I think it's quite sad, wallpaper peeling off the reception toilets and cobwebs up the stairs. The single...

If you like old world luxury this is the place for you. Although some of the decor is a little dated, it is still very plush, very clean and the staff are very attentive and friendly - we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was superb, with a good choice to keep everyone happy and helpful, efficient staff...
