an enjoyable experience but the hotel is tired, the door frames paint is all chipped, needs new carpets on the landings and stairways but the general decore is pleasant. The king sized bed was two beds pushed together not what I expected of a deluxe King room. Resturant menu was dissapointing and quality of food was poor. Fantastic view.

Muchly enjoyed our stay here on Sunday night and were pleasantly surprised to learn we had been upgraded to a sea view room, am assuming Sundays are quiet out of season so this was a nice touch. The receptionist was superb, friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome. We decided not to pay the quite pricey car parking (£7)...

Spectacular views, great children's play room, good location. Heating broken during our stay, wi-fi down for last two days, breakfast could be better quality for the price. It felt expensive for what we got

Dear lottem71, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that the wi fi was down from our provider, it was rectified as quickly as possible as was some heat issues as quickly as possible but apologies that these occurred. We use locally sourced ingredients for breakfast and offer a wide range so I'm sorry you felt it was not right....

We've stayed at the Imperial several times. The high quality of the rooms and public areas are exemplary. With one exception: They only have two lager glasses [with widgets]!!! So, lager drinkers - unless you are happy to drink flat lager - get your beer elsewhere!

Very impressive public rooms, views superb, make sure you get a seaveiw room to make most of stay, food was excellent, spa was good, friendly staff very relaxing, only downside having to pay for using hotel car park, overall excellent stay and would defiantly recommend!

This hotel is old with a lovely ambiance, the views are amazing during the day and at night time. The rooms are clean and adequate. The staff, from when you arrive to when you depart are very nice and always smile, nothing is to much trouble for them. The hotel is located up a slight hill and it is very...

The position of the Hotel is excellent, but there is a lot still to be done on improving the detailed status of the rooms. We deliberately chose the same room in order to review our previous experience. The room has been redecorated, but the curtains were still less than satisfactory. Also the bathhroom needs upgrading and we would recommend a...

Imposing hotel set on the sea front in a lovely location. I was lucky to have a sea facing room with a balcony with stunning views across Tobay. Very friendly - staff are always helpful and pleasant. Rooms are excellent. Food is excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

Service is not even close to 4 star. Nice hotel with good facilities albeit tired in places although I wouldn't create a poor review on that basis. However so utterly disappointed with the service. First night; asked for the wine list 3 times before it arrived after the starter (which incidentally was too chilled to be tasty); wine arrived towards...

Excellent location, service and restaurant were the outstanding pluses of our stay. Chef offered to prepare a milk-free panacotta for my wife which was a real treat for her. Room was very clean and comfortable with a great view of Torbay.
