With a neat car park situated at the top of Castle Street this is guest house with a plus In fact it's easy as pie to get down to town via the municipal lift in the car park a short walk away. In the place itself it's on top with nicely decorated rooms and an open viewed bright breakfast room....

Stayed at the Barclay Court guesthouse for 1 night when visiting the Torquay area. The location was a bit awkward and involved a rollercoaster drive to reach and some tight turns. It wasn't a very easy walk to the seafront but that is to be expected in hilly Torquay. On first sight I was a bit apprehensive but once inside...

This was our first stop on our way to Cornwall (this hotel is in Devon). The owners were incredibly friendly and tried to be helpful. The husband helped me bring our bags upstairs. Unfortunately little else went right with our stay. The room was very small. We had to keep our luggage upright and needed to put them on the...

So sorry to hear about things not turning out as you would have liked. We are the new owners of Barclay Court and are starting to make improvements here and there, unfortunately we can't do a great deal about the size of the rooms. There is nothing that we can do now to rectify what has already past, however for...

We had a very warm welcome from Maz the owner, and offered tea/coffee after our trip from West Sussex. The room was lovely with an ensuite, tea, coffee,water...

Upon arrival we were greeted by Marilynn the owner and made to feel very much at home and welcome and shown to our lovely en-suite room before being given a nice cup of tea and biscuits.. :-) Marilynn informed us of the...

Barclay Court is a great place to stay. It is far enough from the town center to avoid the unnecessary noise but still within a walking distance to enjoy the attractions when you want to. The room was very spacious and breakfast cooked to perfection. Off road parking is a great asset. Very friendly host.

Like many of the reviews say, this is a great place to stay. I along with six other guests in my party booked Barclay Court taking four rooms. We took it upon ourselves as a family to have a short break at the same time as my brother was completing his Navy training and we was attending his passing out...
