We recently stayed here for two nights and I have to say this place exceeded our expectations of a B&B. The room was spotlessly clean and the owners were extremely helpful and attentive. Lots of little touches in the room which made it even more pleasant.

Stayed here for two nights for the fireworks championships. We had a lovely big family room on the lower ground floor, we had our grandson with us and the size of the room was ideal. There was a lovely clean ensuite shower room. One slight thing was that the room was under the breakfast room so you could hear people...

Stayed here oncevand instantly knew it was an amazing place. Very clean friendly and helpful. Family oriented breakfast was very good. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend break away from it all and left feeling refreshed. We booked again and would definitely recommend this lodge for a break be that business or pleasure.

Stayed at the athenaeum lodge a few times now and found it a great place to base yourself for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Nice friendly welcome on your arrival, nice clean and tidy bedrooms and an excellent breakfast. Well worth a visit if you are in the Plymouth area.

Comfortable and convenient for town. The Athenaeum is close to the Quay overlooking the port, and is an easy walk to the town center. The breakfast is superb, with full English on offer, all done with free range ingredients. There is no view to speak of but the room was en-suite, clean and comfortable, with kettle (tea, coffee) and TV.
