I was staying overnight in Plymouth on business and needed a B&B close to Plymouth Hoe. The Rusty Anchor fitted the bill and was very near the sea front. On arrival I received a very warm welcome from Jan the landlady. My first floor room at the rear was a good size, plain, comfortable and clean. The Full English breakfast...

We arrived at the Rusty Anchor B&B by taxi from the Plymouth Train Station around 730pm. The front door was locked but our hostess Jan promptly answered the bell and checked us in quickly and efficiently. Our rooms were upstairs, very simple, clean, neat and the entire place was quite tidy! For our supper, she directed us to a wonderful...

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean, tidy and just the right size with a good shower and good clean bed. It was lovely for our dog who had his own breakfast from Jan who was a fantastic host. The hotel is seconds from great views of the sea front and a short walk into town. We loved...

We stayed in the family room. It had everything we needed and was very clean. The room had a double bed & storage, lamps, TV & tea coffee. There were two doors that closed off an additional room with bunk beds, storage & TV. Both rooms had a window with a sea view. It was perfect as we closed the...

We try and stay in B and B's to support the locals as in the past we have found some excellent B and B's but this is not one. The room was small and the en-suite crammed into a cupboard. The bed was held up on one side with a wooden block. We could hear the conversations of the other...

We had a family room that’s was clean and spacious. The cooked breakfast was tasty and all for a great price. It was just down the road from Smeatons Tower. Great place to stay! I would stay here again.

Nice B&B, good location but bad insulation. We could clearly hear people's steps in the room above, the kid next door calling for his mum and people banging the doors in the building. Bathroom needed a good dusting. Breakfast was good and generous,

Stayed for one night and the Rusty Anchor gave us everything we needed. Really accommodating owner, great breakfast and good room facilities. Right next to the sea front and Plymouth Hoe and parking was free on the streets over night, which was a bonus.

Driving through Plymouth Hoe after collecting our hire car we saw the Rusty Anchor had a view of the harbour, was close to restaurants. We walked in to the smell of cake cooking. Our first floor room at the front was compact, functional, neat and very clean. The host Jan was friendly and helpful. The fresh breakfast was served in...
