This was the first time we have needed a hotel that allows a dog (in 11 years of owning) and I was sceptical before arriving as worried as to where previous pet owners may have allowed they dogs to sleep etc. I was delighted with our room on arrival perfectly clean with no reason to think pets had previously been... This was another great stay at the Invicta since our twin sons have been at Plymouth University. This time our stay was for their graduation ceremony and the location was perfect for The Hoe which was were the marquee was located. After checking out of the hotel on the second day, the staff were extremely helpful and we were allowed... More

We stayed at the hotel for the weekend with a group of friends. The staff where really friendly and helpful ,the rooms are well appointed and clean . The breakfast in the morning was large enough to keep us going all day and not too early. On the whole a good value hotel which we would book again .

A very comfortable and friendly family run hotel close to Plymouth Hoe. We stayed for one night and had room 15 on the first floor. Everything was very clean and well presented and the large double bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - a large choice of cooked food which was made to order.

A very good comfortable hotel in a quiet position adjacent to Plymouth Hoe. Having stayed in a few hotels in Plymouth, this is definitely top of my list. The chain hotels with over-priced indifferent breakfasts could learn a thing or two from the Invicta. A very good choice from the breakfast bar and a great choice of cooked breakfasts too... More

We only stayed one night, in Room 15, on the first floor, at the front of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful in person, although over the phone they seemed a bit vague (answered the phone with just "hello", rather than the hotel name etc). We booked by phone but... More

My initial impression of the hotel was how smart it looked from the outside and the reception area was modern and yet matched in well with the period of the property. I had booked this hotel because it had onsite parking but the car park was full on arrival, however the owner did kindly move his car out for me... More

“Can't fault the comfortable immaculately and spotlessly clean room or bathroom. The Invicta Hotel bathrobes in the wardrobe were a pleasant surprise and relaxing to wear after bathing. We've stayed in more expensive hotels that do not provide such a service, so indulge! ”
