We had an amazing weekend walking the coastal path. With a group of 10 Castle Hill was completely accommodating for all our needs. We were extremely comfortable in our rooms and were given amazing breakfasts but the extra care on top was something else. They recommended and helped book restaurants and were extremely helpful on parking; arranging the walk and...

Emma and Alistair deserve all of the high praise on this website. They welcomed our group of 10 girls so warmly. They went out of their way for us - from buying a map for us, suggesting great walks, letting us return after we had checked out... The rooms were a great size, very well restored and very clean. Particularly...

What a truly wonderful guest house I was greeted by the lovely Emma who plied me with tea and biscuits and made me feel entirely at home. Alistair joined us later and proved to be a most amusing host regaling me with his tales of life as a ranger in South Africa Although I was travelling alone, I decided to...

My husband and I travelled with friends, to the Castle Heights Guest House in Lynton. When we arrived, the owners Emma and Alistair were waiting to greet us, and what a welcome we received! As I had inadvertently booked a twin room, Emma offered us a double room for no extra cost, however what she didnt mention was the double...

My husband and I stayed at Castle Hill Guest House in February half term. While the sun wasn't always shining, we had a lovely time both in the guest house and in and around Lynton. The town itself is largely "seasonal" and some places (namely some restaurants) weren't open, but we were fortunate enough to enjoy the cinema and the...

Myself and my boyfriend went for a long weekend in early November. We had a very warm welcome with tea and biscuits and a nice chat about Lynton and things to do. Our room on the top floor was lovely and spacious with a superking bed and an extra lounge area. Lynton and Lynmouth was very pretty with great scenic...

Emma and Alistair are a lovely young couple who have only recently gone into the B&B business. And what a wonderful job they are doing. Our room was lovely - spacious and tastefully decorated as was the rest of the house. Breakfast was beautifully presented and scrumptious. I could have stayed and spoken with Alistair all day about his previous...

We had a very relaxing few days at Castle Hill. Emma and Alistair were perfect hosts and we stayed in the very spacious and well-appointed bedroom 1. The guest house is an ideal base to access the local walking routes. We were very lucky with clear skies in mid-October making the coastal path walk stunning. Plenty of sea-air and we...
