I got an excellent price on booking.com for a single room which was definitely worth it. Central location, nice decor, friendly staff and comfy room. Breakfast was good and the pub in the same building is very convenient. Only downside for me was the uncomfortable mattress - a mattress topper would help a lot!

Busy and bustling on a Thursday Night but within the nooks and crannies you can find a seat. The two for £10 menu is food value and fir an additional £1 the rump steak, cooked blue, is a great buy. Service good and a nice atmosphere

Need a modest decor improvement to the hotel communal areas (rooms fine) but for the money this is a good hotel. Service excellent and friendly. Quiet. And good breakfast and comfortable bed. Watch out it has Parking Eye in car park. A 'service' which should be banned in my opinion.

Stayed here with work on first trip to Exeter. Free off street parking, spacious clean room, central location and friendly staff. A good shower too which is always a bonus! Cannot fault for the price, would stay again if in the area.

A very quaint centrally located hotel. Rooms as you would expect are small but well appointed, mattress however was very uncomfortable and needs updating. Breakfast was good, although just filter coffee in this day and age is low cost as most of us expect a barista type coffee. Dinner is basic pub fare but the 20% discount is appreciated for...

A city centre hotel that offers a great pub of character that is part of the hotel. This place is a bit quirky and in many ways isn't really a hotel, but a good pub with decent food and rooms. Parking is good and staff very friendly. My colleague had a room in the new section and felt it was...

My wife and I have stayed here on 3 diffrent occasions over the last 18 months. Rooms are good and very comfy, with a more than decent standard, en-suite. Some rooms are in the very old C1600 part of the building and some are in modern block. The hotel has a lovely old style pub which has a charming walled...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The White Hart Hotel is a Public House which boasts 55 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms (October 2015). All are non-smoking and inclusive of full English breakfast and FREE PARKING. The hotel is an old 'Coaching Inn' built in 1356! And is situated in the City Centre within the old city walls. There was an extension built on the back for 32 of the rooms in 1971 (These rooms have lift access). However the remainder rooms including the suite are located in the 'Old Part' above the Inn (These involve stairs and no lifts.) This part is a 'listed'property as the building is an 'historical place of interest' due to its part in Medievil history. The Pub boasts a large 'Chargrill Menu' concentrating on Steaks, Burgers & traditional pub classics to suit all tastes. There are 2 bars. The 'Tap Bar' is open 7 days a week and is traditional 'Olde Worlde' pub still with all the Medieval fixtures & fittings that has lots of fine Real Ales to choose from. And a 'Cider Bar' that opens at weekends and was newly refurbished in October 2015 & is where breakfast is served every morning. The pub also boasts an exclusive 'Secret Garden' very popular with couples. It's ideally situated to enjoy all the city has to offer, from its famous Gothic Cathedral, The Quay & the Princesshay shopping centre. ... more   less
