We stayed in the bungalow the room was clean...The staff were very helpful and even made us takeaway bacon sarnies the morning we had to leave. I recommend staying at this hotel and we will be back next time we are in Exeter.

This is an ideal place to escape from the stress but close to the M5 and not going to break the bank. The staff are delightful, food excellent and the rooms are pleasant and comfortable. Oh, did I mention the views that even with hurricane Doris still looked great. They even have a special room for people with a dog....

Stayed with friends for 4 nights using one of the function rooms to do an embroidery course. The food was excellent - obviously fresh with a selection of seasonal vegetables. The wonderful desserts won't have helped my weight but were too good to resist. The staff could not have been more helpful, and always wanted to ensure we had a...

Although the building is slightly tired, the cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the staff outweighs this. Nothing is to much trouble . The food is frantastic, always fresh and hot. So easy to find being on the M 5 All in all a very good find.

Very pleased to be able to write an extremely positive review for the Gipsy Hill Hotel, where we held the reception for our son's christening. We received a warm and very personal service from Sue and her team. The plan was to host us and about 30 guests for a cream tea reception as well as some 'christening cake'. I...

good location and well signposted. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. In its heyday it was probably a quite expensive hotel, but it has aged well and was very comfortable and importantly was very clean. The food was very very good, well presented, well cooked and very reasonably priced.

My friend and I visited this hotel for a two night stay. The staff are very friendly and looked after us really well. The food was good. There was a wedding reception taking place the first night we were there but this did not disturb us at all. I personally think this hotel is good value for money.
