Good location, old school but very clean and functional rooms. However, breakfast finishes at 9.30am sharp as we were perfunctorily and unapologetically informed at 9.31am this morning (Sunday). Could've offered us a bit of toast or a bowl of cereal if nothing else. We did pay for bed and breakfast despite our clearly completely unacceptable timing. 9am breakfast ends I...

The hotel is well located for exploring Exeter and the South Devon coastline, though on a busy road. I'm afraid it is not the kind of hotel that I'm looking forward to come back to after a busy day exploring. For me it was the uninspiring room interior and breakfast. I would strongly advice to invest in some proper bed...

I arrived for checking about 3.30 on A Saturday afternoon. There are about six Residents Parking spaces across the road from the hotel.I was extremely lucky to find one vacant.I was greeted by a very friendly young man whom enquired if I had a car and he then made out a parking permit to put on the car immediately. On my return...

We were very disappionted with this hotel. The shower room was small with alot of black mould in. The shower lacked pressure. We had to park on street a long way from the hotel. We moved to a Holiday inn Express for our second nights stay as i could not face going back to the room.Holiday inn gave us free...

Two stars - great location and paid £155 for 2 rooms which was reasonably good value. We stayed in room 1 which was very cold although clean. This hotel is like something from the 1970s. The old lady referred to in the other reviews has not improved with age - quite rude. If you arrive for breakfast at 9:45 expecting...

Stayed here for a family trip to Exeter. Good location near city centre and quite easy to check into on arrival. Steps upstairs can get quite steep and insulation between rooms is pretty much non existent so could hear noise coming from other rooms and when other guests would arrive back at night. Room was clean with small bathroom which...

Great location in Exeter, close by to the main train station. Plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance. Arrived around 5.30pm and was told they had no parking permits left. Very limited street parking near by if you don't have a permit. Was asked to park on the car park over the road which didn't cause too much of an issue....

Our stay was perfectly fine, I'm not really sure what people are complaining about. We booked our stay last minute as there were limited options due to the fact that it was half-term. Breakfast was good and beds were comfy, although the walls were quite thin so we could hear the 'activities' of the guests next door to us.

Arrived early and appreciated we couldn't access the rooms, but requested a permit for the parking. I was met by an extremely rude lady who couldn't even bring herself to say good morning - just told that permits not allowed to be issued until midday. First impressions not good! However, returned later that afternoon to be met by a lovely...

We had an excellent two night stay in room 25. Started in room 22 but the bathroom extractor wasn't working and we were rapidly moved to 25. King size bed (two singles put together), nice hot shower, and I don't know why people say the location is noisy because we were at the front and the secondary double glazing did...
